Catherine Giaquinto Pulled Over for Drunk Driving Wearing Only a Jacket

On Friday night, Catherine Giaquinto, 36, was pulled over for drunk driving wearing only an unzipped jacket.

Giaquinto, of Warwick, NY, crashed her car into a stone retaining wall. She drove off, but authorities in New Jersey caught up with her and pulled her over.

When she was pulled over, she was slurring her words and could not put together a sentence. After police asked her to get dressed, she put on a dress inside-out and backwards.

They attempted to have her take a sobriety test, but Giaquinto could not stand. She was charged for drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

This isn't Giaquinto's first run-in with the law. She was jailed for smuggling 10,000 ecstasy pills from Italy to the United States in September of 2000.

She was sentenced to 23 months in prison. After one of her accomplices, who was heavily involved in the drug smuggling, was sentenced to 30 months, Gianquinto attempted to appeal her sentencing but was denied.

The Court of Appeals said "while we admire the zeal with which able counsel has advanced Giaquinto's arguments, we are constrained to find the sentence reasonable."
