Casey Johnson, Jets Owner's Daughter, Found Dead in L.A.

Popular socialite Casey Johnson, heiress to the Johnson & Johnson business empire, has died at the age of 30. Police found her in her West Hollywood home on Monday and are unsure as to precisely how long she had been dead.

An initial investigation showed no signs of foul play, but authorities are still seeking toxicology reports before they can determine her exact cause of death.

Johnson was the daughter of New York Jets Chairman Robert “Woody” Johnson and the fiancee of MTV reality star Tila Tequila. In addition, she was a longtime friend to fellow socialite Paris Hilton and once claimed to have been Hilton's first choice for costar on the popular reality show The Simple Life.

“The Johnson family is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy
during this very difficult time,” Jesse Derris, a family spokesman,
said in a statement.
