Casey Anthony will be a free woman next week. Despite being sentenced to the maximum for lying to police, the judge gave her credit for time served and set a release date of July 13.
Although she was acquitted on first degree murder charges for the death of her two-year-old daughter Caylee, the jury convicted her on four counts of lying to officers during the investigation.
On Thursday Judge Belvin Perry sentenced her to the maximum one year in jail for each charge. Given that she has been behind bars since she was arrested in 2008, with time off for good behavior prison officials determined she had just six more days to serve to complete the sentence.
