A Massachusetts car wash worker died after a driver hit him with his car on July 19 (video below).
The incident occurred in Malden, Massachusetts when a customer reportedly drove through the car wash tunnel and hit an employee at the Simoniz Car Wash on the other side.
“I heard the noise,” said an employee of the car wash. “A big noise. So I went outside to see what it was and the guy was under the tires.”
According to other witnesses, they saw the driver speed up the car before colliding with the man.
The victim was described as an El Salvadorian in his 20s. The man was working with his two brothers when he was killed. Employees also called the man “a great guy” who had been working at the establishment for a while.
He was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital to be treated for his injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to the Middlesex district attorney, the man who was driving the car was Jose Tobias-Valle, 28.
No charges have yet been filed against Tobias-Valle, as investigators are still looking into the incident.
