A 2006 Toyota Tacoma crashed off Interstate 93 in Boston on Sunday morning, landing on the highway below.
The pickup truck damaged a light pole, an exit sign and a fence before it flew off the expressway, noted the Boston Globe (video below).
According to Massachusetts State Police, Vannak Sao was removed from his damaged vehicle by firefighters and taken to a local hospital.
Sao was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Sao told My Fox Boston that he is glad no one else was injured and would take responsibility for the accident.
Sao claimed the last thing he recalled was falling asleep at the wheel, crashing into a snow bank and then being rescued from his pickup truck by first responders.
