Calif. Man Arrested for Threatening to 'Eat' Female Roommate, Then Killing her Dog

A 35-year-old Northern California man has been arrested on suspicion of attacking his roommate on Christmas Eve and threatening to “eat her.” He then fatally stabbed her dog, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s report.

The roommate told deputies that Alan Evans returned to their Hall Road home before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday "talking incoherently and making no sense," officials said. He allegedly grabbed her head, pulled her hair and slapped her, stopping only to say he was going into the kitchen for a knife and that he was going to "eat her."

The terrified woman broke away and ran to a neighbor's home and called the sheriff's office. When deputies arrived around 6:30 a.m., they found Evans in the living room. Officials said, he had blood on his hands and clothing.

The deputies then found the roommate's terrier stabbed to death and hidden under Evans' car.

Evans was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, battery, making threats and animal cruelty, and is being held on $250,000 bond. He has not been charged, but is being held on $250,000 bond. He is scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Friday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

On Oct. 2, sheriff’s had responded to a call about a bloodied man walking around the area. Officers found that Alan Evans had been slashed with a machete at his home. The sheriff's office soon arrested 32-year-old Adam Faustino, saying at the time that he had used a machete to stab Evans during an altercation.
