Bulletproof Business Suit Stops Bullets, Knives (Video)

A Toronto, Canada tailor shop, Garrison Bespoke, is offering a bulletproof business suit that looks sharp and starts at $20,000.

Using technology that was originally created for the U.S. military in Iraq, Garrison Bespoke places carbon nanotubes in a layer under the stylish fabric, notes

The company website states:

We wanted to create a lightweight garment that not only looks professional, but can also act as reliable body armor... This way, our clients, wouldn’t have to worry about looking awkward during meetings, and they can travel to work feeling comfortable, safe, and confident.

According to, the carbon nanotubes actually get hard on impact to stop bullets (up to .45 bullet) and knives from entering the suit's wearer.

The suit's carbon nanotubes are fifty percent lighter than Kevlar, which is normally used in bulletproof material.

In a video demonstration (below), the suit stopped a 9mm bullet, reports City News Toronto.

"After receiving requests from high-profile clients who travel to dangerous places for work, we set out to develop a lightweight, fashion-forward bulletproof suit as a more discreet and stylish alternative to wearing a bulky vest underneath," Garrison Bespoke's Michael Nguyen stated in a press release.
