British Student's Hilarious Note To Bike Thief Goes Viral

After a student realized his bike had been stolen, he tracked it to the thief’s house via a tracking device inside the bike's frame and left a hilarious note for the thief.

Bike tech company Blaze tweeted a picture of the note and suggested that threatening the bike thief must have been the “best feeling ever.”

Addressed “DEAR DOUCHEBAG THIEF,” the letter informs the thief that his face was captured on CCTV and that a tracker in the bike’s frame had led the owner to the thief’s residence.

The self-proclaimed poor college student had his bike stolen once before, as he noted in the letter, and therefore installed a tracer in his newest one.

“Unfortunately for you, I know where you live,” the note reads. “Please dear bike thief, don't take this as a threat, I'm sure you had your reasons, I just want my bike back.”

The author of the letter notes that the thief has until the end of the week to return the bike – if it isn't returned, the thief will be faced by “our Majesty’s finest."

The letter writer notes that his bike is the grey Giant, then signs off.

“Have a good day!” the note reads. “Sincerely, the poor student with no money, but a working printer.”

Last year, nurse Eileen Remedios also had her bike stolen, then left a tongue-in-cheek note on a lamppost asking for her bike back. To her surprise, the thief returned the bike along with a humble note of apology.
