Brick-Wielding Ex-Boyfriend Shot To Death By Woman's New Boyfriend

A Texas man was shot to death when he showed up at an ex-girlfriend’s home threatening to attack her and her new boyfriend with a brick, reports.

The shooting occurred late Tuesday night at about 11:55 p.m. in a gated community in northwest Harris County.

According to investigators, the woman’s new boyfriend heard a noise coming from outside of the home. He went out and saw the woman’s ex-boyfriend with a brick in his hand.

The ex-boyfriend then attempted to attack the new boyfriend with the brick and that’s when he was shot once in the chest, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Authorities were called to the scene about a disturbance. When they arrived, they found the ex-boyfriend dead in the front yard, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s office.

The investigation is ongoing, but deputies said the shooting appeared to be in self-defense.

No charges have been filed as of yet. The case is expected to be referred to a Harris County grand jury to determine if any charges should be filed.
