After Angelina Jolie released private information about their children, Brad Pitt's legal team is accusing her of either being unable to self-regulate or having ulterior motives.
"[Angelina] appears to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children's best interest," claimed Pitt's legal team after Jolie publicly released the names of their children's mental health professionals, the Daily Mail reports.
"[Angelina] apparently has no self-regulating mechanism to preclude sensitive information from being placed in the public record, or she has other motives," they added.
It is the first time Pitt, 53, has lashed out against Jolie, 41, since the couple announced their divorce.
"What matters most now is the well-being of the six children," Pitt said back then, adding: "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
“Angelina will always do what’s in the best interest to protect her children," said Jolie's lawyer, Geyer Kolsinki, InTouch Weekly reports. "She appreciates everyone’s understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”
Jolie accused Pitt of physically abusing their son, Maddox, during an airplane fight in September, prompting the separation.
While authorities cleared Pitt of the accusations in November, Jolie is demanding full custody of their six children.
It is something that Pitt, who wants joint custody, is working hard in court to fight.
"There is just no reasoning with Angie," a source said. "She wants what she wants and nothing is going to stop her."
Although Pitt has been allowed supervised visits with his children, a source says Jolie may not allow him to be around them during the holidays:
Angie has refused to give approval for Brad to have access to the kids on Christmas day. There was a tentative agreement in place, but Angie was insisting on dictating where it happened. Brad felt Angie was just getting his hopes up, only to have her change her mind once again. This is exactly what happened at Thanksgiving. Brad was ready to see the kids, but at the very last minute, Angie's team said change of plans and it's a no go.
