The funeral of Boston terror suspect Usaamah Abdullah Rahim was delayed after a local cemetery refused to take his body due to the suspected terrorist connections.
“They wouldn’t take him because he was a suspected terrorist,” Abdullah Faruuq, imam at the Mosque for the Praising of Allah in Roxbury, Massachusetts, told reporters.
According to Faruuq, 26-year-old Rahim’s body was refused by the Knollwood Memorial Park funeral home, though another unidentified funeral home reportedly agreed to host the services and bury his body.
Rahim, according to officials, was allegedly plotting to kill police officers with a knife but was shot and killed on Wednesday by authorities before he had the opportunity.
Rahim also planned to behead conservative blogger Pamela Geller, who co-organized a controversial Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest in Texas.
The FBI had reportedly been aware of Rahim since 2012, though the details of what put him on their radar have not been released.
