A teen who has been going to a Best Buy location in Valley Stream, New York everyday to play the display WiiU caught the attention of the store's employees. They all chipped in to buy him his own console.

A video (below) uploaded by store manager Rahiem Storr shows the employees presenting the WiiU to the skeptical teen.

"On behalf of all of us here at Best Buy, we got you a WiiU," the employee said, according to KABC-TV. "Everyone here that you see, we all got together and chipped in so you could have it."

The boy was skeptical of the offer, so the employee assured him, "No for real, this is for you. Consider it an early Christmas present."

The employees also got him a copy of Super Smash Bros, which is the game he frequently played in the store.

In the video's YouTube description, Storr states, "This kid came in every single day to play the display Wii U, the employees in this store saw an opportunity to make a child smile and did just that."

Storr added, "Why shop at Amazon when you have genuine people in this world that you can continue to help keep a job."

The console, paired with a game, costs $300. One of the employees gave him a ride to ensure that the kid and his new system got home safely.

Social media reactions to the viral video were mixed. One Reddit user offered to donate $10 to help the teen buy "a new game/tv/whatever he wants for christmas this year." Many other users chimed in with similar offers.

Another commenter expressed concern about the generous act: "Yeah but what if he was going to best buy to escape a toxic family life and now lost his only release?"

"One good thing about a wiiu is you can play it all on the controller. No tv required," a user commented after another alleged the boy might not have a TV.

KABC-TV reports that according to Storr, the boy returned with his parents to the Best Buy the following evening, and that he appeared to genuinely enjoy being there.
