Joe Biden's Ex-Daughter-In-Law Is Dating His Other Son

Former Vice President Joe Biden's widowed daughter-in-law is romantically involved with Hunter Biden, her late husband's younger brother, it was learned on Mar. 1, and Joe and his wife support it fully.

Hallie Biden's deceased husband, Beau Biden, the former attorney general of Delaware, died in 2015. His death reportedly factored into the former vice president's decision not to run for the post of 45th president, the Daily Mail reports.

Hunter, 47, split from his wife, Kathleen, 48, in 2015, a fact that finally became public on Mar. 1 when a source confirmed its truth.

According to Page Six, Hunter and Hallie, 43, affirmed in a statement that they have "love and support" for one another.

"Hallie and I are incredibly lucky to have found the love and support we have for each other in such a difficult time, and that's been obvious to the people who love us most. We've been so lucky to have family and friends who have supported us every step of the way," they said in the statement.

Joe, who has stayed under the radar publicly, also issued a joint statement with his wife, Jill.

"We are all lucky that Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. They have mine and Jill's full and complete support and we are happy for them," said the couple.

Back in Oct. 2015, Joe credited his son's death to his decision to not run for president -- an announcement he made in the Rose Garden of the White House.

He had stated: "As the family and I have worked through the grieving process, I've said all along what I've said time and again to others: that it may very well be that that process, by the time we get through it, closes the window on mounting a realistic campaign for president."

"I've concluded it has closed. I know from previous experience that there's no timetable for this process.

"But I also know that I couldn't do this if the family wasn't ready. Well, that's where the Bidens are today. Beau, Beau is our inspiration," he said.

Iraq war veteran Joseph "Beau" Biden passed away in May of 2015, after succumbing to brain cancer. He left behind his wife and two children, Natalie and Hunter.

The former vice president had previously lost Neilia, who was Beau and Hunter's mother, and a 1-year-old daughter to a car wreck in 1972. He married Jill, his second wife, in 1977.
