We’ve all had bad hair cuts, but 29-year-old Adrian Blanche Swain didn’t seem to have a problem with her hairdo from barber Manny Montero of the 619 Barber Shop in San Diego, California.
On the morning of Feb. 10, Swain left the barbershop apparently happy -- she gave Montero a $20 tip in addition to paying $20 for her haircut. An hour later she returned with a different ‘do -- Montero said it appears she had shaved the design off of her head.
"She said, 'Look what you did to my hair,'" Montero told KNSD. "She came in with a bald spot on the side, and I am like, 'I didn't do that.'"
Swain reportedly produced a gun, pointing it at the shop’s owner, Arvis Henderson. Although the weapon was loaded, it misfired, Detective Sgt. Don Williams told The San Diego Union-Tribune. "He's a lucky man," he added. She also reportedly pointed the gun at Montero.
Montero said, "She had it. She was gonna do it. For some reason, God was there."
Employees and customers reacted quickly and restrained Swain. "We threw her to the floor and held her until authorities came,” Montero said.
Henderson said he was too shaken to speak about the incident, but Montero says he’s already forgiven Swain. "Your whole life runs in front of your eyes, so that's what it did. That's what happened,” he said.
Swain was charged with attempted murder, reports The San Diego Union-Tribune
