Bank Robbery Suspect Turns Himself In After His Mother Sees His Picture In The News

An Alabama man suspected of robbing a bank turned himself in after his mother reportedly saw pictures of him in the news, according to police.

Birmingham Police said the robbery occurred at around 2 p.m. on Dec. 16 at an America’s First Credit Union, WBRC reported.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s. He was reportedly armed with a handgun and passed a note to the teller demanding money.

The robber told the clerk not to include any tracking devices or dye bags, WYTV reported. He pulled out a black cloth bag from under his vest and held it down low so no one could see what was going on.
