A Massachusetts woman was arrested in the abduction of a 2-year-old toddler she formerly babysat, according to police.

Topsfield, Massachusetts, resident Abigail Hanna, 21, was arrested for allegedly abducting 2-year-old Lyndon Albers, a girl she had previously taken care of, WHDH reports. Albers disappeared from her home on Nov. 20 and was found the next day.

Albers was found by Marge and Tom Crosby, who spotted the toddler on the side of the road as they were driving by, the Boston Herald reported.

“Tom says ‘I think I just saw a baby on the side of the road.’ I said ‘What, are you crazy?’” Marge told the Herald.

“I don’t want to say a vision but that’s what it was — a vision. I drove by and then quickly it flashed through my head. I said ‘Was that a baby or was it a doll,’” Tom added.

The couple turned their car around and pulled over to investigate, quickly discovering Albers naked and covered in leaves.

“We didn’t know if it was a girl or a boy," Marge said. "It looked like a boy right away."

Crosby took off his coat, wrapped it around the toddler, and put her in the back seat of their car. They contacted the police, who swarmed the area and took custody of the child.

Albers was reportedly suffering from a “big contusion” on her head, which had been shaved.

“It didn’t look like she was dumped," Tom said. "It looked like she was placed."

The toddler was first transported to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in fair condition, WHDH reports. She was then transferred to Boston Children's Hospital.

The Hamilton Police Department said that Hanna is being charged with kidnapping, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a child, and breaking and entering. She is being held without bail.
