A horse who was born with a horse-shaped pattern on his side has recently charmed Internet users with the optical illusion.
Da Vinci, the horse, was born in May at Flying Hall riding school in the U.K. The unique patch of hair looks similar to a white horse riding on Da Vinci’s left shoulder.
“This foal was born with his own perfect white shadow,” DailyMail wrote on Twitter.
News outlets have even dubbed the pattern a "work of art," though Da Vinci's owner wasn't so thrilled with the baby horse at first.
“I bought his mother at a sale and didn’t know she was in foal [pregnant] so that was a bit of a surprise,” Wendy Bulmer, the school’s owner, told The Daily Mail. “I wasn’t very happy at first, but he is so friendly and the kids love him.”
Da Vinci also has a white heart shape on his bottom.
While chestnut horses often have irregular patches of color on their bodies, the patches don’t generally make recognizable shapes, according to Bulmer.
