A Seattle man shot and wounded a would-be robber who tried to steal from him outside of a store.
According to witnesses, the man was outside of a store in South Seattle when another man attempted to rob him. The robbery victim quickly pulled out a gun and shot the would-be robber in the thigh and calf.
The 19-year-old suspect was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for his wounds as well as a broken arm.
Readers on Reddit questioned the circumstances of the incident, as the victim allegedly fled the scene after shooting the suspect.
“The ‘victim’ fled the scene, hard to say what this was really about,” one Redditor said.
“20 dollars says the person who shot in self-defense wasn't legally carrying a handgun,” another wrote. “You don't flee the scene otherwise.”
