A man who robbed a Georgia hotel burst into tears when he realized he was caught on surveillance cameras.
Police are searching for a man who held up a DeKalb County Days Inn on Northlake Parkway at around 2 a.m. last Monday.
He burst into the building with a "distinctive" handgun and ordered a female clerk, who was working by herself, to hand over the cash drawer. He allegedly threatened to “use the gun” if she didn’t give him the keys to the safe.
In the surveillance footage, the suspect looks up at the security cameras and then demanded access to the footage.
"He threatened her and said, 'Hey, if you don't I'll shoot you,'" Detective P.A. Wright told WSB-TV.
"But she was like, 'I still don't know how to work it.' At that point he was so frustrated, he left crying," he said.
The clerk, who was not identified, said the robber was sobbing into his hands when he left.
According to witness, he fled in a black Oldsmobile Bravada with an undisclosed amount of cash.
