A couple days after "Modern Family" actress Ariel Winter lashed out at the paparazzi and tabloid readers for scrutinizing her body in every outfit that she wears, whether skimpy or not, she made a bold fashion move by stepping out of the house defiantly wearing a crop top that left little to the imagination.
Winter and her boyfriend, 30-year-old Levi Meaden, went shopping at a baby store in Sherman Oaks, California, along with a couple pals on Sept. 20, according to the Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old TV star wore her hair pulled back and donned high-waisted drawstring red pants and a short sleeved white T-shirt that cut off just below her chest and had horizontal slash marks in front, showing a ton of cleavage in the braless getup.
Winter went shopping in the brashly unapologetic outfit just two days after she posted a Twitter "rant" on her page that was full of harsh words for critics and body shamers.
"Just because I DECIDE to show my body occasionally doesn't mean I'm unintelligent or that I'm talentless or that I have no self respect," she wrote on Twitter. "I have EXTREME respect for myself, I HAVE talent, and I AM intelligent. We need to move on from this stigma that women who are comfortable with their bodies and their sexuality are just 'dumb sl*ts.' … Do whatever you want people, just strive to please YOURSELF and NO ONE ELSE."
She added that nobody should worry about whether or not they look "appropriate" or "fashionable" just to appease whoever it is who "gets to decide" what that means.
"I wear what I like and no one should fault me for that," she continued. "I don't want people to constantly see me in the news for going to dinner, or grocery shopping, or anything. I want to be in the news when I ASK for it by going to a publicized event."
Winter has caught her share of criticism over the years, ever since "Modern Family" premiered in 2009 -- when she was 11 years old, notes Entertainment Weekly.
From wearing a two-piece bathing suit at the beach at the age of 17 to donning a revealing gold dress to a TV panel and getting a breast reduction in 2015, the star has heard it all when it comes to her appearance and has made a habit of clapping back at those who don't approve of her outfits and dislike the way clothes fit on her curvy frame.
"Something I wish people would realize… I am NOT trying to be featured on Snapchat, I am not trying to be pap'd everywhere I go, I am literally just LIVING and unfortunately, I can't do that without paparazzi following me around everyday," she tweeted. "I'm not trying to show you my a*s in shorts when I go to the grocery store. I'm trying to live my life. People wear shorts. People have wardrobe malfunctions. No one is perfect."
