Since news of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce, there has been a slew of rumors as to the reasons why.
First came the rumor that Pitt had been cheating on Jolie with Marion Cotillard, then the accusations of child abuse by Pitt, followed by more rumors that Jolie was cheating on her husband with Johnny Depp.
Now, according to The Hollywood Gossip, some say that the failure of Jolie's "Unbroken," which she directed, may have been the start of marital troubles for the acting couple.
"It seemed like Angelina thought it didn't get quite the reception she had expected," a source said. "And that was just the beginning of the end for them."
The source added that the struggles continued through Jolie's next directorial venture, "By the Sea," in which she also starred. The film follows a couple working through their marital problems, which may have foreshadowed the Hollywood couple's own issues.
The insider says that following the critical and box office failure of the movie, Jolie moved to London because she "wanted to get out of Hollywood."
The source claims that "Brad never really made the move to London with her."
"Angelina moved there with the kids to focus on her humanitarian efforts," the insider says, adding that the move "was her idea."
