Pop star Taylor Swift is reportedly hopeful that Kanye West, whom she has clashed with in the past, will make a full recovery from his mystery ailment for which he has been hospitalized.
A source close to Swift told Hollywood Life that the pop star is willing to forgive West for his antagonizing behavior toward her over the years.
"Taylor can’t exactly forget what Kanye has said and done to her in the past but with his latest troubles she can certainly forgive," the source said. "After seeing her great friend Selena Gomez come back from her own demons, Taylor only hopes that Kanye can find the help he needs. Taylor feels bad that Kanye is struggling."
Swift's troubled history with West dates back to the 2009 Video Music Awards, when West interrupted Swift's acceptance speech and said she didn't deserve the award. The two have publicly feuded on and off ever since.
West, 39, was admitted to the hospital Nov. 21 following reportedly odd behavior, which included a pro-President-elect Donald Trump rant at one of his concerts. His "Saint Pablo" tour has been canceled as a result.
While early reports indicated that West had been involuntarily placed under psychiatric hold, an anonymous source told People that he entered the hospital of his own accord.
"There was a small altercation at the gym but he was deemed medically stable and decided to seek medical help at his doctor's request," the source explained. "We're super confident he's going to pull through."
"He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation," the source added. "He went to the hospital at will under the advice of his physician. He’s fine."
The ordeal caused West's wife, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, to cancel a scheduled appearance at the Angel Ball in New York City. Kardashian has not appeared publicly since reportedly being robbed at gunpoint in Paris in October.
