A 73-year-old British man is celebrating the birth of his second child with his 30-year-old girlfriend.
John Willows first became a father on Christmas Day 2011, with his partner Polly Jackson D’zaccheus. Their new son, David, was born at Lincoln County Hospital in the U.K. on Nov. 21 and weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces, reports Yahoo News.
The couple said they are more in love than ever and can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with their second child.
“I’ve never been happier in my life,” Willows said. “I lost my wife to cancer 11 years ago and it took a long time to move on from that. I was very happy to meet Polly and she is the love of my life.”
Willows added that his kids make him feel young and keep him on his toes.
“We do get the odd comment about the age gap but it doesn’t bother us. You cannot put an age on love and the majority of people are very supportive,” Willows said. “They are just glad to see us so happy.”
The British couple originally met in the Salvation Army band five years ago because they both played in the band. D'zaccheus said there was an instant connection when the two met, and that they were both bass players.
The two are neighbors, but do not live together. D’zaccheus lives on the same street with her 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship and the two children she shares with Willows. The Mirror reports the couple has no plans to get married.
According to D’zaccheus, Willows is a fantastic father and person.
