Missouri Releases List of 232 Still Missing After Joplin Tornado

Officials in Missouri have released the names of the 232 people still missing four days after that devastating tornado ripped through the town of Joplin.

Authorities are hoping that many of these people are safe and sound and just haven't checked in with their families. Cell phone service is still spotty in Joplin.

"Our goal is to get that number to zero," Andrea Spillars, deputy director and general counsel of the Missouri Department of Public Safety. "We will dedicate as much state resources as needed around the clock to ensure those families who have loved ones that they cannot find are connected."

Spillars had to admit the reality that some of the people on the missing list are dead, and will be added to the official death toll which now stands at 125. More than 900 people were injured.

Search-and-rescue teams are going through the rubble, using dozens of dogs and listening devices in the hope of finding survivors buried alive. But that hope is dwindling -- no survivors have been found since Tuesday.
