A Kentucky mom is being charged with endangerment after she allegedly left her two young children in her car on a hot day so she could get a bikini wax.
WLKY reports that 22-year-old Courtney Kippes left her two sons, ages three and two, in an unlocked car with the windows cracked so she could get a Brazilian wax on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrest report states that the Louisville business owners heard the boys screaming and took it upon themselves to get them out.
They were sweaty and hot to the touch on an 84-degree day, authorities said. The kids were taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital to be examined.
The young mom, who lists her profession on Facebook as “model,” had apparently lied to the salon owner, telling her that she had no children. She admitted to the police that she did, but believed that it was fine for her to leave them in the car while she got a "wax job."
The officers found a pill bottle with the woman’s name on it, along with a crushed-up pill and a snorting straw inside. She is now being charged with second-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia as well as first-degree wanton endangerment.
