When an intruder tried to force his way into a woman's home in Memphis, Tennessee, he had no idea what would be waiting for him inside.
A Memphis woman answered a knock at her door and was greeted by two men, who quickly pushed their way into her home.
One of the suspects, 22-year-old Nico Carlisle, pressed a gun against the victim’s neck as the two entered the home, according to WREG.
But the suspects did not know the woman had grabbed a gun before answering the door. As Carlisle pushed his gun against her neck, the woman quickly pulled her weapon own out and fired shots at the two men, The Blaze reports.
One suspect escaped the woman's home, but Carlisle died from gunshot wounds. When police arrived a short time later, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
