A 19-year-old woman has been arrested by police in Dallas, Texas, and charged with intentionally running over a police officer and a juvenile.
Alexis Smith is being held on charges of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault of a public servant, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The incident occurred after police were called to a street fight involving between 10 to 15 young people, CBS Dallas reported. Smith was believed to have participated in the fight during the early afternoon of Jan. 4.
Citing a police source, CBS reported that Smith had been stabbed the previous evening and that the fight was linked to this incident.
Officer Juan Hernandez arrived on the scene and began handcuffing one of the participants. Smith is accused of getting into her car at this point, and intentionally striking Hernandez and the unnamed teenager before driving away.
Hernandez and the teenager were taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The officer was released from hospital later in the day with a suspected broken leg, according to CBS.
A total of three arrests were made in the incident, but details have not been released.
Smith is being held in the Dallas County Jail on a bond of $50,000.
