16 Shot, Two Dead In Florida Nightclub Shooting


Two people were dead, and up to 16 injured, following a deadly shooting at a Fort Meyers, Florida, nightclub.

Police were called to the club around 12:30 a.m. on July 25 after gunshots were reportedly fired in the parking lot of Club Blu. More than a dozen victims had been shot, some with life-threatening wounds, USA Today reported. 

Authorities said they detained three people in connection with the shooting. The 16 people who were hospitalized ranged in age from 12 to 27 years old.

At the time, the club was hosting an all ages Swimsuit Glow Party, according to a flier posted on Facebook, CNN reported. A search is underway for the individuals involved in the shooting.
