1 Boston Marathon Suspect Dead, 1 at Large After Chaotic Night Filled with Shootings, Explosions (Live Video)

One man suspected of being involved in the Boston Marathon bombings was killed early Friday morning after a chaotic night filled with shootings, explosions and wild car chases.

The insane events that got us to this point are a bit confusing, and details are still emerging, so here they are as police have reported thus far:

- At 10:20 p.m. on Thursday night, reports of a gunshots emerged from MIT

- Ten minutes later, at 10:30 p.m., an MIT officer who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds was located by authorities

- A short time thereafter, officials got reports of an attempted carjacking in the nearby area of Third Street in Cambridge

- From that, police got a description of the vehicle and traced it. Eventually, a high-speed pursuit began as both the suspects and police headed towards Watertown

- The suspects lobbed explosive devices and shot at police. At some point during the chase, one of the suspects was gravely injured

- State police confirmed to the Boston Globe that one of the men killed was ‘Suspect No. 1’ from the Boston Marathon bombings. The other guy, ‘Suspect No. 2’, was the guy in the white hat from yesterday’s pictures.
