Court records indicate that one year of her sentence will be served on probation.

The incident dates back to April 25, when emergency responders were dispatched to a home after receiving a report of an unresponsive child. When officers arrived, they found Dakota without a pulse. Visible injuries, including bruising on his chest and neck, were immediately noted as first responders attempted life-saving measures before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

Despite those efforts, the young boy later passed away.

Investigators say Wilson told police the situation escalated after Dakota allegedly attempted to leave the home. She claimed she had located him at a neighbor’s house and brought him back, but tensions rose when he reportedly resisted returning inside. According to court documents, Wilson admitted to restraining the child by holding him down on the ground.

Authorities allege that during this struggle, Wilson placed her full body weight on the boy’s midsection for several minutes. She later told investigators she believed he was pretending to be unresponsive when he stopped moving.

It wasn’t until she noticed alarming signs—such as changes in his appearance—that she began CPR and contacted emergency services.

Medical findings painted a far more severe picture. An autopsy determined Dakota’s death was caused by mechanical asphyxia, meaning his ability to breathe had been fatally restricted. The report also documented extensive internal injuries, including damage to vital organs and significant hemorrhaging.

The manner of death was officially ruled a homicide.

Additional details from the investigation revealed that Dakota had briefly sought help from a neighbor shortly before the incident. The neighbor later told authorities that the boy appeared distressed and had asked if he could stay with her, claiming he was being harmed at home. However, she reported not seeing visible injuries at the time.

Wilson subsequently arrived to retrieve the child and returned him to the residence, where the fatal encounter later occurred.

The physical disparity between the two was also noted in court proceedings. Dakota was described as standing 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 91 pounds, while Wilson reportedly weighed around 340 pounds.

The kind of child you’d expect to grow up helping others. Inside the neonatal unit, she was seen as someone standing between fragile life and tragedy. But investigators would later argue that trust was dangerously misplaced.

Born in 1990 in Hereford, Letby grew up in what many described as an unremarkable household. An only child raised by working parents, her early years did not raise red flags. She went on to pursue nursing at the University of Chester, graduating in 2011 before landing a role at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Colleagues initially viewed her as dedicated and attentive. She built relationships with families, worked long shifts, and appeared deeply invested in her role. Outside of work, she lived a quiet life, even participating in fundraising efforts for hospital improvements.

But behind the scenes, something troubling began to unfold.

Between mid-2015 and mid-2016, doctors noticed an alarming spike in unexplained medical emergencies among infants in the neonatal ward. While complications are not unusual in such units, the frequency and nature of these incidents raised serious concerns.

One physician, Stephen Brearey, began carefully reviewing cases. A disturbing pattern emerged: Letby was present during each unexplained collapse or death.

Despite early warnings, action was slow. Concerns raised by medical staff were initially met with hesitation from hospital leadership. It wasn’t until 2017 that law enforcement was brought into the investigation—by then, authorities believed multiple infants had already been harmed.

Prosecutors later presented a chilling case in court, alleging that Letby deliberately injured babies through methods including injecting air into their bloodstream, tampering with feeding, and administering harmful substances. Some incidents reportedly occurred while parents were nearby, unaware of what was happening.

The trial, held at Manchester Crown Court, stretched across months and involved extensive testimony from medical experts and grieving families. Letby maintained her innocence and chose not to testify.

In August 2023, a jury found her guilty of murdering seven infants and attempting to kill several others. She received a whole-life sentence, ensuring she would remain behind bars permanently. The judge described the crimes as calculated and devoid of compassion.

Even after the conviction, debate has continued. Some medical experts have questioned aspects of the evidence, suggesting alternative explanations for the deaths. In 2024, her appeal was dismissed, and in 2026, prosecutors declined to pursue additional charges tied to other cases.

The story has since drawn renewed attention, including through a documentary examining the investigation and lingering uncertainties.

For many families, however, the verdict brought a measure of closure—though it can never undo the loss.
Sharif’s conviction drew nationwide outrage, and many inmates at Belmarsh — despite serving time for violent crimes themselves — were disgusted by his abuse of a child. “Even in prison, crimes against children put a target on your back,” one source explained. “Plenty of prisoners think he got exactly what he deserved.”

Sharif was sentenced just weeks ago at London’s Old Bailey, where a judge ruled he would serve a minimum of 40 years behind bars.
The disturbing case gained international attention last year when Sharif, Batool, and Malik fled the UK with five of Sharif’s children. They were tracked down in Pakistan through an Interpol operation and flown back to Britain to face justice.

Sara’s mother, Olga Domin, who had fought unsuccessfully for custody, described Sharif and Batool as “executioners” and said her daughter’s suffering was ignored despite repeated warnings to authorities.

But behind that innocent face was a life already unraveling, shaped by instability, neglect, and a growing hunger for control that would one day shock the nation.

Few could have imagined that the boy born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in November 1934 would become one of the darkest figures in American criminal history.

His life began in turmoil. Raised by a teenage mother who struggled to survive and abandoned by a father who disappeared before his birth, the child never experienced stability. When he was still in preschool, his mother was sent to prison after a violent robbery, leaving him to be raised by relatives in rural West Virginia.

Although she eventually returned, the reunion was short-lived. Alcohol soon took over her life, and the boy was left to fend for himself as she vanished for days at a time. Discipline turned into displacement, and by elementary school he was already bouncing between caretakers, institutions, and reform schools.

By his own later accounts, fire-setting, theft, and skipping school had become routine before he even reached double digits. Authority figures struggled to contain him — and when he was sent to a strict Catholic boys’ school in Indiana, the harsh punishments only fueled his defiance. He ran away repeatedly, sleeping outdoors and surviving through burglary and deception.

The pattern continued into adolescence. Arrests piled up. Detention centers came and went. In Nebraska, he escaped within days and committed armed robberies during his flight. Psychological evaluations described him as deeply antisocial, someone who rejected rules and manipulated people instinctively.

As he grew older, his crimes became more disturbing. While incarcerated in federal facilities, he engaged in violent and sexual offenses against fellow inmates, prompting transfers to higher-security prisons. Each release only brought another descent — stolen vehicles, fraudulent schemes, and attempts to exploit young women followed him wherever he went.

Yet even then, he possessed a chilling ability to charm. He spoke convincingly. He listened intently. And he learned how to control people.

During one prison sentence in Washington state, he became fascinated with hypnosis and psychological influence — skills he would later weaponize. After his release, he drifted through California’s counterculture scene, presenting himself as a misunderstood philosopher and spiritual guide.

Music briefly became his obsession. He tried to break into the industry and even crossed paths with famous musicians. But rejection hardened into rage.

By the late 1960s, his grip on reality had collapsed entirely. He preached apocalyptic fantasies, convinced his followers that popular songs carried secret messages meant only for him. From those delusions emerged a terrifying vision of chaos — a so-called race war he believed would elevate him to power.

Then came the murders.

In August 1969, members of his group brutally killed actress Sharon Tate — who was eight months pregnant — along with several others in her Los Angeles home. The following night, another couple was slaughtered in a similar fashion.

Though he never wielded the knife himself, prosecutors argued he orchestrated everything through manipulation and indoctrination.

The man once known as a troubled child was now infamous nationwide.

Convicted of multiple murders, Charles Manson was initially sentenced to death before the penalty was overturned, leaving him behind bars for life. Despite repeated parole hearings, he never walked free again.

On Tuesday, Isabelle stood before a Shelby County court where jury selection wrapped up. Ten women and four men were chosen to weigh the disturbing case. Despite the mountain of evidence prosecutors claim to have, Isabelle entered a plea of not guilty.

A relationship that turned deadly

According to the state’s case, both Isabelle and Danielle worked for FedEx and had been romantically involved. That relationship led to Danielle’s pregnancy. At the same time, prosecutors say Isabelle was dating another FedEx employee who did not want to continue seeing him once she learned about the child.

Attorney Dru Carpenter argued that this pressure created a deadly motive. “He wanted to eliminate the problem,” Carpenter said, pointing to messages Isabelle allegedly sent demanding that Danielle terminate the pregnancy.

The night of the murder

Danielle welcomed her daughter Kennedy into the world on January 31, 2022. Hours after leaving the hospital, Isabelle allegedly persuaded her to meet up under the guise of giving her baby clothes. Investigators say it was nothing more than a trap.

Prosecutors allege Isabelle lured Danielle to a location near Sedgwick Street and Levi Road, where he shot her in the head before taking Kennedy with him. He then allegedly drove to the Mud Island boat ramp and hurled the newborn into the Mississippi River, which is known to be filled with alligators.

Confessions and evidence

During the investigation, police say Isabelle admitted to the killings. Body camera footage reportedly captured him telling detectives he killed his girlfriend and discarded the baby because he “didn’t want her.”

Memphis Police Officer Cody Sutton testified that Danielle’s body was found in a ditch near her Chevy Cruze, with blood visible inside the car. Sergeant Jeramy Cline of the homicide bureau added that Danielle’s Apple Watch revealed a message exchange where Isabelle had pressured her to have an abortion.

While Danielle’s body was recovered, baby Kennedy’s remains have never been found.

The family’s heartbreak

Danielle’s mother, April Campbell, also took the stand. She recalled warning her daughter about Isabelle when she learned of the relationship. “If he’s not treating his wife right, how’s he going to treat you right?” Campbell told the court she had warned her daughter back in 2021.

She entered the plea on Thursday in state district court.

Jennings initially pleaded not guilty to the charge, but had a change of heart this week. In exchange for pleading guilty, prosecutors have agreed to recommend a sentence of up to four years in the Wyoming Women's Center. Had she not taken the deal, Jennings could have faced 10 years in prison.

According to prosecutors, over the course of four months, Jennings put about 20 bottles of the popular eye drops in her stepmother's tea and coffee. This led to the stepmother being hospitalized twice with various ailments. On one of those occasions, the victim was hospitalized with decreased body temperature, stomach aches, swings in blood pressure, blurred vision, tremors and bleeding, reports the Daily Mail.

Jennings was reportedly poisoning her stepmother because she had revealed a secret about the teen to Jennings' then-boyfriend. The secret, apparently, was that she had molested a young girl.

After discovering a Web search history related to Visine poisonings on a computer at the house, the stepmother became suspicious. This led to Jennings being arrested. Officials said that the teen varied the dosage of the eye drops that she put into her stepmother’s beverages from as little as one-sixth of a bottle to as much as a quarter of a bottle. She got the idea for the scheme after reading a news story about someone doing something similar.

Jennings is being held on $25,000 bond and will be sentenced at a later date.

Source: (Daily Mail); (Casper-Star Tribune); (NorthJersey.com)

alexis1

Mom Takes Down 10 Gang Members Who Killed Her Daughter One By One

Karen, just 20 years old at the time, was abducted in 2012 by armed men from the Los Zetas Cartel.

Drug Cartel

Mother

Crime

taken

Society

Ruth Kamau

Note: we are republishing this story which originally made the news in December 2020.

In a gripping tale of determination and courage, Miriam Elizabeth Rodríguez Martínez, a mother from San Fernando, Tamaulipas, Mexico, took on the ruthless Los Zetas Cartel after her daughter, Karen Alejandra Salinas Rodriguez, was kidnapped and murdered in 2012. Her relentless pursuit of justice ultimately cost her life, echoing the plot of the movie "Taken."

Karen, just 20 years old at the time, was abducted in 2012 by armed men from the Los Zetas Cartel. Despite the family's compliance with the captors' ransom demands, Karen was brutally murdered, and her remains were discovered in 2014.

In the wake of her daughter's abduction and tragic death, Miriam embarked on an extraordinary journey, going to extreme lengths to track down her daughter's killers. Using disguises, fake identification, and even a fake handgun, Miriam managed to locate and interrogate several members of the Los Zetas cartel, one of Mexico's most dangerous criminal organizations.

One of her targets was a former florist turned cartel member. After receiving a tip about his whereabouts, Miriam confronted him near the Mexican-US border. She held him at gunpoint until authorities arrived to arrest him, an act of bravery that led to her being responsible for the apprehension of at least ten criminals, with Cristian Jose Zapata Gonzalez, who was only 18 at the time.

Miriam's relentless pursuit led to a chilling encounter with one of the cartel members who offered to help locate her daughter for a price. She discovered the member's nickname, Sama, and tracked him to an ice cream shop in Ciudad Victoria, two hours away. Her elaborate surveillance included disguises, fake polling, and the help of a police officer.

It wasn't until September 2014 that Sama was apprehended, thanks to Miriam's son, who spotted him at his store in Ciudad Victoria. Sama eventually revealed critical information about Karen's murder, leading to the identification and capture of other accomplices.

Miriam's unwavering determination came at a tragic cost. On Mother's Day in 2017, she was shot 12 times outside her home and lost her life. Nevertheless, she is now celebrated as a heroine in her city, where organized crime often goes unchecked.

Her story serves as a testament to the power of a mother's love and determination. In a region where authorities often turn a blind eye to organized crime, Miriam's relentless pursuit of justice, much like Liam Neeson's character in the film "Taken," inspired those who knew her.

Deputies immediately entered the cell, activated medics, and began life saving measures. Albany Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene at 05:18 a.m. and soon thereafter pronounced Ms. Ketcham deceased.”

He added that no further details would be revealed as the investigation was still ongoing.

Ketcham was charged with six counts of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sex abuse, on count of first-degree sodomy, and six other sex offenses.

According to prosecutor Keith Stein, the charges only represented a fraction of Ketcham’s alleged abuse. He told the court: “This is a situation where hundreds of charges could have been brought.”

Authorities are still reviewing the circumstances, but early accounts suggest the driver may have been proceeding through a green light when the collision occurred.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene within minutes. A helicopter was dispatched, and paramedics worked alongside firefighters and local doctors in a desperate attempt to save the teenager. Despite their efforts, Ferrari succumbed to severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her parents arrived shortly after, only to be confronted with the heartbreaking news.

The driver of the cement mixer is being treated by medical staff and will be interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.

Ferrari’s passing has left a deep wound in her hometown of Giustino, where she was admired both as an athlete and as a member of the community. Mayor Manuel Cosi expressed his sorrow, stating, “We are deeply shaken… our town of Giustino has lost one of its brightest stars.”

Her school in Tione immediately put counseling services in place for her grieving classmates, many of whom trained and studied alongside her daily.

Ferrari trained at the Sporting Ghiaccio Pinzolo Artistico e Ritmico skating club, where she dedicated countless hours to refining her routines. Videos and photos on social media reveal the poise and talent that earned her recognition well beyond her region.

Massimo Caola, president of the local skating association, remembered Ferrari not only for her ability on the ice but also for her drive to succeed. “Matilda dreamed of one day reaching the Olympics. That dream showed in the dedication she poured into every performance, even when she battled through knee pain,” he said. “She nevertheless succeeded in reaching the podium in her division.” She was a remarkable skater with an equally remarkable family supporting her.”

Tributes continue to pour in as Italy’s sports world grapples with the loss of another promising young athlete. Just last week, 18-year-old Austrian figure skater Julia Marie Gaiser was killed in a separate accident after being struck by a truck while cycling.

Ferrari’s sudden death has sparked fresh conversations in northern Italy about pedestrian safety near school routes, especially for young athletes who often train and travel before and after class. Prosecutors say Butler brutally attacked two of his classmates when he was 17 years old. But in a stunning turn, a judge ruled that he would be sentenced as a “youthful offender” — sparing him from adult prison time.

Instead of serving years behind bars, Butler received a light sentence of community service and counseling. The decision has sparked outrage across Stillwater, with furious residents accusing the court of protecting Butler because of his family’s wealth and local influence.

Butler’s father is reportedly a well-known figure in the Oklahoma State University football program, having previously served as the team’s director of operations — a connection that many locals believe played a role in the court’s leniency.

On November 5, crowds gathered outside the Payne County Courthouse as the verdict was announced. Many feared Butler would evade serious punishment despite the severity of his crimes. When word spread that he wouldn’t serve a single day in prison, outrage quickly turned to protest.

“The justice system in Stillwater just let a violent sexual predator walk free,” protester Tori Gray told KOKH. “He’s not just free — he’s still attending classes virtually at Stillwater Public Schools. He won’t even have to register as a sex offender.”

Court records show that Butler pleaded no contest to all charges — a move that allowed him to avoid admitting guilt while accepting conviction. The charges stemmed from a September 2024 investigation launched after two high school girls came forward with disturbing accounts of sexual assault.

Victim impact statements read aloud in court painted a devastating picture of what the young women endured. One of the victims shared in a statement, “You didn’t just use your hands to strangle me — you took my voice, my happiness, and my sense of safety in my own body.”

Another described the trauma of having to relive the attack: “I’ve had to explain bruises, explain silence, explain why I started isolating from people who love me.”

Outside the courthouse, emotions ran high. “Almost losing your life, having a video of it out there, and then watching your attacker walk away with only 150 hours of community service — that’s beyond ridiculous,” said protester Adelyn Smith.

The case has ignited a larger conversation about privilege and accountability in America’s justice system. Thomas said he knew the woman was ill but did not know it could be HIV. He reportedly collapsed when told the news.

Thomas said he had been drinking heavily on the night of the attack, as well as using cocaine and ecstasy at various points during the evening. He said he could not recall much from the attack but believed the woman's story.

Police say Thomas let himself into the woman's home uninvited and went into the bedroom where he then assaulted her as she slept. The woman had taken a sleeping tablet and awoke to find Thomas raping her.

"She froze and no words were exchanged," said prosecutor Harry Pepper. "He pulled up his shorts and left."

The lawyer for Thomas, Virginia Hayton, said that Thomas was unsure of the events of the night but told her the woman "would not lie, she tells the truth. If she says I have done it, I have done it," according to The Telegraph. It was not immediately clear whether Thomas knew his victim before the assault.

Judge Mark Brown presiding over the case ordered that Thomas be sentenced to five years and four months, as well as giving him a permanent listing on the Sex Offenders Register for the "dreadful offense."

Hayton described Thomas as agonizing over the night's events. Thomas has previous convictions but none for sexual assault or rape.

"[Thomas] is remorseful and cannot understand why he did it and it is troubling him," Hayton said. She also noted that Thomas has a long history with drugs and alcohol, having started to use cannabis at age 9 and then drinking by 11. Thomas also said he was addicted to cocaine and ecstasy at 13 and received treatment for the addictions during his teenage years.

Thomas was set to find out the results of the HIV test shortly after being notified of the possibility. It was not clear if Thomas contracted the disease.

Hayton offered little condolences to Thomas in the meantime.

"This [HIV test] has been hanging over his head," she said, according to the Mirror. "It's his own fault. If he'd not committed this offense he would not have placed himself in this position."

Sources: BBC, The Telegraph, Mirror

rapist

Shocking Update In Nancy Guthrie Disappearance After FBI Discovers This Evidence On The Roadside

Federal agents investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie have uncovered...

Nancy Guthrie

Crime

Missing

Savannah Guthrie

Kidnapping

gloves

Society

Ruth Kamau

Federal agents investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie have uncovered what could be a critical piece of evidence — a black glove discovered along a desert roadway not far from her home outside Tucson.

The 84-year-old woman, who is the mother of “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing for more than a week. Authorities believe she was taken from her residence in what appears to be a violent abduction that left behind troubling signs, including blood at the scene.

Now, investigators say they may have found a potential clue.

According to law enforcement sources, members of the FBI’s Evidence Response Team located a single black glove in brush roughly a mile and a half from Guthrie’s house. The item reportedly resembles gloves worn by a masked suspect captured on newly released surveillance footage.

Images from the search show agents carefully retrieving the glove from low desert vegetation in the quiet suburban neighborhood on the outskirts of Tucson. The area has been swarming with federal personnel in recent days as the investigation intensifies.

Earlier this week, the FBI released dramatic video showing a man dressed in dark clothing, wearing black gloves and a ski mask, and carrying a holstered firearm. The individual is seen vandalizing a security camera mounted outside Guthrie’s front door — a chilling development that marked the first significant public evidence in the case after 10 days of silence from authorities.

Officials have not publicly confirmed whether the recovered glove has been definitively linked to the suspect seen on video. When pressed for details, investigators declined to elaborate on the discovery or its evidentiary value.

The bureau has described the ongoing effort as an “extensive search” operation, with agents combing through nearby roadways and open desert terrain for any sign of the missing woman or her suspected abductor.

“We are grateful for the cooperation and support from the Tucson community,” the FBI said in a statement, again highlighting the standing $50,000 reward for information that leads to Nancy Guthrie’s safe return.

Despite mounting scrutiny, no arrests have been made.

On Tuesday, authorities detained a man near the U.S.-Mexico border for questioning in connection with the case. The individual, identified as Carlos Palazuelos, a delivery driver from Rio Rico, was stopped south of Tucson and briefly taken into custody.

Palazuelos was released without charges early Wednesday. Speaking to local media, he denied any involvement in Guthrie’s disappearance and said he had no knowledge of who she was. He reportedly demanded an apology following his release.

Meanwhile, the case has taken yet another strange turn.

Celebrity news outlet TMZ reported receiving an anonymous message demanding approximately $67,000 in bitcoin. In exchange, the sender claimed they would provide the identity of the person responsible for the kidnapping. Authorities have not commented publicly on the alleged message or whether it is considered credible.

Polk County Sheriff Byron Lyons, in a somber Tuesday press conference, confirmed that Audrii's body was found in the Trinity River near the US Highway 59 bridge in Livingston.

Sheriff Lyons, visibly affected by the grim discovery, pledged to relentlessly process the evidence gathered to ensure justice for Audrii. Polk County District Attorney Shelly Sitton revealed that arrest warrants are being prepared for Don Steven McDougal, 42, in connection with Audrii's disappearance, with the potential for capital murder charges.

McDougal's arrest on Friday, on unrelated charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, raised suspicions as investigators sought his cooperation in Audrii's disappearance. Lt. Craig Cummings, spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety in Southeast Texas, emphasized that McDougal, who was likely the last person to see Audrii, had been given several opportunities to cooperate.

During a Monday press conference, Sheriff Lyons expressed concern about public speculation, urging people not to hastily draw conclusions. The 11-year-old should have boarded her school bus on the morning of Feb. 15 but never made it, prompting a series of investigations that led to this tragic discovery.

McDougal, residing in a camper behind Audrii's residence, was known to occasionally take her to the bus stop or even to school when she missed the bus, as revealed by Audrii's mother, Cassie Matthews, in an interview with FOX 26 Houston.

Efforts are underway to piece together McDougal's movements on the critical morning of Feb. 15, with Lyons revealing that McDougal has agreed to show investigators certain locations after his arrest.

The gravity of the situation prompted a statewide Amber Alert on Feb. 16, intensifying the search for Audrii. Lyons later acknowledged the likelihood that a backpack found in a wooded area near the Livingston Dam belonged to the young girl, adding another layer to the ongoing investigation.

McDougal's extensive criminal history, spanning back to the early 2000s, includes charges ranging from child enticement to assault of a family member and evading arrest. Both had suffered gunshot wounds, prompting an intensive investigation that stretched for weeks.

On Monday, the Harvard Police Department issued its first major update since the bodies were found, revealing the results of the autopsies conducted by the McHenry County Coroner’s Office. According to the department, the evidence points to a devastating conclusion.

In a public statement, investigators said the ongoing joint inquiry “indicates that Brandon Dumovich fatally shot his wife, Rachel, before turning the gun on himself.” Officials emphasized that all available information supports the homicide–suicide ruling, though detectives continue to examine digital records, witness interviews, and forensic materials tied to the case.

Police stressed that the tragedy appears to be an isolated event and that there is no indication of any broader threat to residents in the surrounding area.

Rachel, 29, and Brandon, 30, were only days away from their first wedding anniversary when they were found. By all outward appearances, the couple had a long, intertwined history. Details shared on their wedding website showed they met as young teens in middle school and stayed close friends throughout high school. Old photos highlight Brandon in his football gear and Rachel in her cheerleading uniform — a pair who grew up side by side long before romance entered the picture.

After years of friendship, the two began dating seriously in 2022. Their relationship moved quickly, leading to marriage and a shared home in Sharon, Wisconsin, a quiet village near the Illinois state line.

Rachel, a University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee graduate, worked in human resources, according to her obituary. Brandon, who had previously served as a Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, had just marked his 30th birthday the same weekend the incident occurred.
The final moments of the couple’s lives came to light after an officer patrolling Route 14 spotted their vehicle stopped with its hazard lights flashing. Believing the driver might need help, the officer approached — only to find Rachel in the driver’s seat and Brandon beside her, both unresponsive. Each had a gunshot wound to the head, and police later recovered a firearm inside the car.

Authorities say the pair had been living only a few miles away, making the discovery even more unsettling for the small Wisconsin community where they had recently settled.

And many say the irony is impossible to ignore.

Dana Sue Gray, now 67, has spent nearly three decades in prison after admitting to a series of violent assaults in the mid-1990s. In a 2024 interview with The Independent, Gray claimed she now fights for women behind bars, telling the outlet, “Most women are taught to stay quiet and follow orders — that’s why so many don’t push back.”

But long before she began championing prisoner rights, Gray was at the center of one of Southern California’s most disturbing crime sprees — one prosecutors say wasn’t fully accounted for in the plea deal that sent her to prison in 1998.

A Crime Scene That Shocked Investigators

Detective Joseph Greco of the Perris Police Department still remembers the day he walked into an upscale Canyon Lake home on February 16, 1994. Inside, 86-year-old Norma Davis lay dead after being stabbed repeatedly and strangled with a phone cord.

Greco told A&E Crime + Investigation the violence went far beyond what was needed to kill the elderly woman. “It was personal,” he said, describing the scene as “overkill.”

An unusual shoe print found in the kitchen caught investigators’ attention — a small sneaker that didn’t belong to the victim or her caregivers. “That’s when I first considered the attacker could be a woman,” Greco recalled.

At that point, Gray wasn’t even on the radar. Detectives initially focused on Davis’ former daughter-in-law, Jeri Armbrust, and her family, including Armbrust’s stepdaughter, Dana Gray. But there wasn’t enough to tie any of them to the crime.

A Second Killing Raises Alarm Bells

Twelve days later, Greco was called back to the same gated community for another murder. This time, 66-year-old June Roberts had been beaten with a wine decanter and strangled — again with a phone cord. Items of value were left behind, but her credit cards were gone.

Robbery didn’t seem like the point, Greco noted. “The violence came first,” he said.

Investigators tracked the stolen cards to several stores, including a hair salon where a woman who matched the suspect profile had just dyed her blonde hair red. The young boy with her described her as his “other mommy,” a detail that would soon play a critical role.

A Survivor Points the Case Toward Gray

On March 10, 1994, shop worker Dorinda Hawkins was attacked inside an antiques store in Lake Elsinore. Gray strangled her and stole cash before fleeing, but Hawkins lived — and later told investigators the attacker said her rampage “wasn’t about money.”

When Greco described the suspect to Armbrust — a formerly blonde woman with new red hair who acted as a mother figure to a young boy — she didn’t have a name at first. But after Gray casually showed up at her house flaunting that exact description, Armbrust called detectives.

A Final Murder Before Police Closed In

Authorities rushed to obtain a search warrant, but before they could serve it, Gray struck again. On March 16, she followed 87-year-old Dora Beebe home and murdered her with a phone cord and a clothes iron, later draining nearly $2,000 from her bank account.

Police searching Gray’s home found a stockpile of evidence: cash from Beebe’s account, items purchased with Roberts’ credit cards, sneakers matching the print at Davis’ murder, and keys from the antiques store. Hawkins later identified Gray in a photo lineup.

Gray initially denied everything, claiming she had “found” the victims’ cards and bank book. She later said she stole because “shopping puts me at rest.”

A Plea Deal That Left Out One Victim

Faced with the death penalty, Gray pursued an insanity defense, but was found mentally competent. Days before trial, she accepted a plea deal: guilty pleas in two murders and one attempted murder. In return, prosecutors agreed not to charge her in Davis’ killing — the one Greco still believes she committed.

“She couldn’t admit to that one,” he said. “It was too close.”

Despite his lingering doubts, Greco said he supports her work with other inmates — with limits. “I think it’s good she’s trying to help,” he stated. “But sincerity is hard to measure in someone capable of that kind of violence.”

Sources: A&E

dana1

dana2

A young Dana Sue Gray lying on the beach, Photo Credit: lacaradelmal/Instagram

dana3

Dana Sue Gray around the time she committed her crimes, Photo Credit: burdenofproofpod/Instagram

dana4

Dana Sue Gray at her trial, Photo Credit: burdenofproofpod/Instagram

dana5

Dana Sue Gray inside prison while serving her sentence, Photo Credit: lacaradelmal/Instagram

He May Be Smiling But This Boy Grew Up To Become One Of America's Most Evil Men

His father’s identity was never confirmed, and rumors about his conception...

Rape

Criminal

Serial Killer

Crime

Murder

Society

Ted Bundy

Ruth Kamau

He looked like the kind of kid no one would ever suspect.

Quiet.
As a child, Bundy was raised to believe his mother, Louise, was actually his sister — a deception that would later haunt him. Accounts differ on when he learned the truth, but those who knew him say the revelation deeply unsettled him. Some believe he discovered his birth certificate as a teenager, noticing the blank space where a father’s name should have been. Others say he was taunted by relatives and confronted with the truth even earlier.

On the surface, his childhood appeared stable. Friends described him as friendly and well-mannered. He participated in Scouts, had classmates, and blended in easily. But beneath that exterior were troubling warning signs.

Relatives later recalled moments that raised eyebrows — including one chilling incident in which a young Bundy was found standing over a sleeping family member, quietly arranging knives nearby. The behavior was dismissed at the time.

As he grew older, Bundy struggled socially. He was teased for a speech impediment, failed to make school sports teams, and increasingly isolated himself. By high school, he was largely alone. Tensions at home worsened when his mother remarried, fueling resentment and a growing obsession with status, wealth, and appearance.

Despite these issues, Bundy managed to attend college and even volunteered at a suicide prevention hotline — a detail that would later horrify investigators.

Behind the scenes, however, something dark was taking shape.

Beginning in the mid-1970s, Bundy embarked on a calculated and brutal killing spree, targeting young women across multiple states. Using charm, deception, and fake injuries, he lured victims into trusting him before attacking. His methods were cold, methodical, and terrifyingly consistent.

His arrest in 1975 came after a routine traffic stop revealed suspicious items in his vehicle. What followed exposed the full scope of his crimes. Bundy would later confess to killing at least 30 women, though authorities believe the real number may never be known.

Netflix is rolling out a new documentary, Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers, which promises an unfiltered look at her life, her crimes, and the disturbing path that led her from a troubled childhood to death row.

Wuornos terrorized central and northern Florida in 1989 and 1990, killing seven men while working along the state’s highways. Her murders triggered a massive, multi-state investigation that eventually ended with her arrest in early 1991 and a string of first-degree murder convictions the following year. She would ultimately receive six death sentences.

The documentary features rare, previously unreleased interviews from death row, capturing Wuornos in her own words as she shifted from insisting she acted in self-defense to bluntly admitting she killed without hesitation. Her emotional state changed repeatedly over the years, at times expressing rage, at other times showing no remorse whatsoever.

Netflix also digs into the long, painful history that shaped her. Wuornos grew up in Michigan under chaotic and abusive conditions, learning at just 10 years old that the people she believed were her parents were actually her grandparents. Her biological father had already landed in prison for child rape and later killed himself behind bars. As a young girl, Wuornos reported beatings, sexual abuse, and emotional torment — experiences that left her isolated, volatile, and often homeless.

By her early teens, she was trading sex for money or cigarettes and eventually drifted into full-time prostitution. She hitchhiked across the country, racked up arrests for theft, assault, and armed robbery, and burned through a brief marriage to an older yachtsman before resettling in Florida. There, she entered a long relationship with Tyria Moore — a partnership that collapsed when Moore cooperated with investigators after the murders began.

Between late 1989 and fall 1990, the bodies of middle-aged men appeared near rural highways across Florida. Each had been shot multiple times. Wuornos pawned items linked to her victims under false names, drove their vehicles, and eventually confessed on videotape.

After a decade of appeals and repeated court battles over her mental state, Wuornos was executed in October 2002 at the age of 46.

Despite her death, Hollywood and the media have kept her story alive — from Charlize Theron’s Oscar-winning portrayal in Monster to numerous documentaries.
In May 1960, a baby boy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to young parents who believed they were starting a normal family. His father was studying chemistry, his mother worked as a teletype instructor, and their first child appeared healthy, energetic and cheerful.

Early childhood memories describe him as lively and curious. But that innocence did not last.

After undergoing surgery just before turning four, relatives noticed a stark personality shift. The once-outgoing boy grew distant, quiet and emotionally closed off. Teachers later recalled a child who rarely spoke up and often seemed disconnected from those around him.

At home, stability was slipping away. His father’s academic commitments kept him absent, while his mother struggled with severe mental health issues. Emotional volatility, constant arguments and suicide attempts created an environment filled with anxiety and uncertainty.

Even so, the boy was not entirely isolated. Neighborhood friends remembered him as someone who could be playful and engaging in small doses.

But beneath the surface, something far more troubling was beginning to form.

At a young age, he developed an unusual fixation on animal remains. What some adults initially dismissed as curiosity slowly became obsession. He collected bones, dissected animals and stored remains in jars. When the family relocated to rural Ohio, his behavior escalated further, with makeshift shrines and preserved skeletons hidden near the woods.

Instead of intervening, his father mistakenly encouraged what he believed was a scientific interest, unknowingly giving his son tools that would later become instruments of horror.

By his teenage years, the warning signs were unmistakable. He drank heavily, isolated himself emotionally and engaged in disturbing behavior that classmates found bizarre but occasionally humorous. Teachers noticed attention-seeking antics, but few grasped the danger forming underneath.

After his parents divorced, the teenager was left alone in the family home. Isolation deepened. Alcohol use increased. And the disturbing fantasies that had been quietly growing began to take control.

In June 1978, just weeks after graduating high school, the young man committed his first murder.

What followed was more than a decade of unspeakable violence.

Over 13 years, he would kill 17 young men, many of whom were drugged before being strangled. Investigators later uncovered acts of necrophilia, dismemberment, cannibalism and chilling attempts to manipulate victims’ minds through crude medical experiments.

The nightmare finally ended in July 1991 when a victim escaped and led police to his apartment. Inside, authorities discovered evidence so graphic it shocked even veteran detectives.

The quiet child from Milwaukee had become Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer — forever known as the “Milwaukee Cannibal.”

Dahmer was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was killed Wednesday in Minneapolis during a confrontation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Federal officials have claimed the incident involved a violent threat, alleging Good used her SUV as a weapon — language the Department of Homeland Security used to frame the encounter as a form of “domestic terrorism,” a label later echoed by President Donald Trump.

But video of the incident, now widely circulated on social media, is fueling skepticism and outrage, with critics arguing the footage contradicts the government’s account.

The short clip shows officers surrounding Good’s vehicle as one agent attempts to open the driver’s side door. Moments later, the SUV moves backward as Good tries to escape the scene. Viewers have focused on a critical detail: the vehicle’s front tires appear turned away from the officer standing in front of the car, not toward him.

As the SUV pulls away, it lightly strikes the officer without knocking him down. Within seconds, the officer fires a shot through the windshield, followed by additional rounds through the driver’s side window while the vehicle continues forward. Good’s SUV then travels roughly 100 feet before crashing into a parked car. The entire exchange takes place in under 10 seconds.

Public reaction has been swift and emotional. Online commenters and activists argue the footage depicts fear and flight, not an intentional attempt to injure law enforcement. Some have accused officers of using deadly force out of frustration as the vehicle escaped their control.

Elected officials have joined the criticism. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez labeled the shooting a “public murder,” saying the video shows a woman attempting to flee rather than attack. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey delivered an even harsher rebuke, demanding ICE leave the city altogether and dismissing claims of self-defense as “nonsense” after reviewing the footage himself.

Good’s family has also pushed back forcefully against the federal narrative. Her mother, Donna Ganger, described her daughter as compassionate, gentle and deeply devoted to caring for others. She said Good was likely terrified during the encounter.

Friends and former teachers echoed that description, remembering Good as a creative spirit — a poet and writer — who fostered kindness in every space she entered. She had no criminal record beyond a minor traffic violation and was born in Colorado, making her a U.S. citizen.

Just hours before her death, Good had dropped off her youngest child at an elementary school. The family had recently relocated to Minneapolis from Kansas City.

Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance has made clear the ICE agent involved will not face criminal charges. Speaking to reporters, Vance said the officer has “absolute immunity,” insisting he was carrying out a lawful federal duty. Vance also criticized Minnesota officials who questioned the federal government’s control over the investigation, calling efforts to challenge the agent’s actions “preposterous.”

As flowers and handwritten signs now mark the crash site, the case has become a flashpoint in the broader national battle over immigration enforcement, police accountability and the limits of federal power. With investigations ongoing and public trust shaken, the shooting of Renee Nicole Good is unlikely to fade from the national spotlight anytime soon.
