A Dallas couple has experienced a whirlwind of changes as they recently became the parents of exceptionally rare identical quadruplet boys.

Jenny Marr, the thrilled new mother, expressed her concern about the logistics of accommodating their growing family. "I drive a Honda Accord and Chris has a truck. So how is that gonna work? We have to go shopping. We've got to buy a new car," she declares.

Prior to the birth of the babies on Sunday at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Good Day's Lauren Przybyl had the opportunity to meet Jenny and her husband, Chris.

Both Jenny and Chris were taken aback when they learned that their family of two was about to expand to six. "She had this very worried look on her face. And I was like, 'Oh no, there is no heartbeat.' And she said, 'Oh no. There is a heartbeat!' And I was like, 'Oh my goodness, we're having twins.' And she said, 'No, guys. There are three heartbeats! There are three babies in here.' And I was like, 'Oh my gosh.' It was terrifying," Jenny recalled.

They were then referred to Dr. Ryan Reinheirt, one of the leading maternal-fetal medicine doctors in the area. During the sonogram, Dr. Reinheirt's sonographer quickly realized that there were more than three babies in Jenny's womb. "I said, 'Oh no. Did we lose one? Is there something wrong with one of them?' She said, 'Well, I'm not supposed to tell you this but there are four babies in here. There are... I am absolutely positive there are four babies in here.' And we just went speechless," Jenny recounted.

Chris jokingly commented, "I think I turned to Dr. Ryan and I said, 'I'm not coming back next week because there will be five.'"

The four boys are identical, originating from an egg that split four times after fertilization. Notably, fertility drugs were not involved in this remarkable occurrence.

It is worth noting that there have only been 72 documented cases of identical quadruplets worldwide, with the majority being girls. In the case of the Marrs, the pregnancy itself came as a tremendous surprise. "We didn't do anything for this. It was a two-bottle-of-wine kind of night," Jenny chuckled.

Both Chris and Jenny grew up as only children. Reflecting on their own upbringing, Jenny shared, "That's the crazy part too. We’re both an only child." Chris added, "So we never had any brothers or sisters. I always hope if we had kids, we would have two since I know being an only child can get kind of boring sometimes."

Before the babies' birth, Jenny followed a 3,000-calorie diet. She admitted to being constantly hungry and shared a laugh about her active and growing boys. "They never stop! At nighttime, they bump up here and here and here... and they never stop. They never stop moving! It's really uncomfortable sometimes," she expressed.

In the NICU, all four of the babies—Hudson, Harrison, Henry, and Hardy—are thriving. Furthermore, the mother, Jenny, is also doing well in her recovery.

A California firefighter was praised after being spotted comforting a young girl while her mother and sister were treated for injuries they got in a car crash.

A big rig crossed into oncoming traffic on a highway near San Diego, according to KNSD. Inside one of the cars the truck hit was a mother, along with her two young daughters and another adult family member.

While the mother and one of the girls were being treated for their injuries, Heartland Fire & Rescue Department firefighter paramedic Ryan Lopez took on the task of comforting the 4-year-old daughter, who was uninjured.

A news camera captured the touching moment as Lopez held the girl in his arms, rocking her back ad forth, side to side.

After a few moments, Lopez carried the child over to the fire engine, where he sat her down and gave her a drink of water. Then, she was in his arms once again, resting her head on his shoulder.

Lopez spoke to KNSD about the moment.

"She really just wanted to hang on and just feel safe," he said of the 4-year-old.

After determining that the girl was not seriously injured, Lopez, who has a 2-month-old daughter, said he knew the next most important thing to do was to comfort her.

The firefighter said that he considers what he did to simply be part of his job, adding that any other first responder would have done the same.

"It's not something I would ever seek out to take any recognition for," he said. "I know someone else in my same position would've done the same thing."

The California Highway Patrol said the driver of the big rig lost control while driving southbound on State Route 125 and crashed into a metal guardrail. He then crossed into the northbound lanes before striking two vehicles. In one vehicle, a Chevy, were 57-year-old Nancy Bauerlein and her daughter, 29-year-old Jennifer Thompson-Campbell. They were both killed in the crash.

The other vehicle struck by the truck was a black Kia Sorrento carrying the two girls, ages 4 and 6, as well as their mother and another adult.

The 6-year-old girl suffered a broken neck in the accident and was having trouble breathing. She was taken to a nearby children's hospital.

The 4-year-old girl who was helped by Lopez had only minor injuries.

The girls' mother suffered minor injuries as well and was able to ride in the ambulance with her 6-year-old daughter.

Becki-Jo Allen, a 23-year-old mother from Liverpool, was already in shock when she found out that she was expecting triplets. However, after some time, something more unbelievable was revealed. Allen was informed by other mothers that her triplets looked exactly alike. Following this, she had their DNA tested, and it was confirmed that Roman, Rocco, and Rohan are genetically identical - against odds of up to an incredible 200 million to one!

Despite the triplets' identical appearance, Allen has been able to distinguish between them with ease. "While they have similar features, I can tell them apart without difficulty. Roman's birthmark between the eyebrows is slightly darker than the others, and Rohan has a birthmark on his leg," Allen said.

To establish for certain whether twins or triplets are identical, DNA testing is necessary. After consulting the Multiple Births Foundation, Allen took cheek swabs from Roman, Rocco, and Rohan and sent them to a laboratory to be analyzed. Earlier this month, she received the news that they are, in fact, genetically identical, and at only ten months old, they are thought to be one of only a few naturally conceived sets of identical triplets in the UK.

When Allen had her first scan at nine weeks, she found out that she was expecting triplets due to severe headaches and nausea. The triplets were delivered by caesarean section at 31 weeks, with Rocco weighing 3lb 5oz, Roman weighing 3lb 6oz, and Rohan weighing 3lb 10oz.

Now, the little ones are thriving at home, and their personalities are starting to show. "Rohan is the loud one, he's always shouting," Allen said. "Rocco is normally quite laid-back, but he can be feisty too, while Roman is usually complaining that he doesn't want to share."

As one can imagine, raising triplets has not been an easy task for Allen. With each week, they go through roughly 130 nappies and four packs of baby wipes. A single pack of formula lasts about two days, and she must run the washing machine around three times each day to keep up with their laundry. Josh Gray went to the nurse’s office at Dawson High School in Texas complaining of a stomach ache.

Two hours later, the 17-year-old who loved to travel and play golf was dead, KHOU reports.

Doctors said the artery leading to Josh’s pancreas ruptured, and then his pancreas did too. They were unable to stop the bleeding.

There was no way to foresee the tragedy, the doctors added.

"He went from going to school yesterday morning -- normal day, happy -- to having a stomach ache, to within two hours not being with us anymore,” Josh’s mother, Laurie Gray, told KHOU.

Left to cope with the sudden loss, Josh’s loved ones set up an online fundraiser to cover the cost of expenses incurred by his death -- and to raise money for research aimed at finding and curing rare underlying diseases.

So far, the GoFundMe account has raised more than $34,000, surpassing its goal of $30,000.

"Josh loved everyone for who they were,” Josh’s friend, Austin Hurst, said. “I'm loud and obnoxious; he loved that about me. I mean, he loved all of us for exactly who we were. And that was the best part about being with Josh; you could be you.”

Josh’s friends plan to go on the mission trip he was going to take in the summer.

"We love Josh,” his friend, Seth Blunt, said. “We all love Josh. He's connected to us."

A UPS driver has been hailed by cops in Franklin County, Missouri, for saving a woman who had allegedly been beaten by her husband and held captive in her home for 15 hours.

According to court documents obtained by KMOV, the abuse started in their home near Robertsville, and the husband beat her, sexually abused her, held a gun to her head and threatened to kill her before he dragged her back into the house by her hair when she attempted to run away.

Court records state that he took her phone and then locked her and their 3-year-old child in a room with no food or water the entire time.

When the UPS driver showed up at the house in the morning to pick up a package, he saw the “contact 911” message the woman had written on the box before answering the door and handing it over.

The driver drove off and then called police. Deputies responded to the home, rescued the woman and child and arrested the husband. Fortunately, the child was unharmed.

“He made a huge difference,” Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant T.J. Wild told KMOV.

The husband’s identity has been kept secret to avoid revealing the woman’s identity. He was charged with domestic assault, sodomy, felonious restraint, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

A cash bond of $100,000 was set.
