First African American Transgender to write a memoir in the United States. 1985 graduate of Wake Forest University with BA degree and studying law for the Juris of Doctorate (JD). I have partnered with Film Director Keith Holland and Producer/Actor Alton Demore to turn the book I Rise into Featured Film.
