Robert Spencer is the director of Jihad Watch, and the author of two New York Times bestsellers on Islamic jihad. He has written extensively on jihad and terrorism, including articles appearing in many publications including The New York Post and Washington Times. His books include The Truth About Muhammad and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam, and he is editor of the essay collection The Myth of Islamic Tolerance.
He has led seminars on Islam and jihad for the US military, Department of State and German Foreign Ministry. He has also appeared several TV networks as well as on numerous radio programs including Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor and The Laura Ingraham Show, in addition to others.
Spencer has been studying Islamic theology, law, and history in depth since 1980. As an Adjunct Fellow with the Free Congress Foundation, he wrote a series of monographs on Islam. More recently he has written monographs for the David Horowitz Freedom Center.
