Dr. Hirani has been practicing medicine since 1993. She received her MD from USC Medical School and is Board Certified in Family Practice. She completed her Family Practice Residency from Long Beach Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, California. She also has a Master's degree in Nutrition from the UCLA School of Public Health. Since graduation, Dr. Hirani has been in group and private practice in a diversity of settings ranging from group practice in Santa Monica to the Venice Family Clinic (a community clinic serving the medically indigent). In addition she was a staff physician with Dr. Julian Whitaker at the Whitaker Wellness Institute, and in private practice with Dr. Cynthia Watson. She is also teaching faculty at USC Medical School.
