A Long Island man is facing shocking charges after authorities say he had sex with a dog and then beat it with a baseball bat.
26-year-old Steven Errante of Dix Hills has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, petit larceny, and sexual misconduct. The petit larceny charge has been presented because Errante allegedly stole the dog from a pen behind a church near his home.
The dog suffered a severe skull injury, among other serious ones, and sadly had to be euthanized days later.
Errante pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and is being held on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. A psychiatric evaluation has also been ordered to see if the man is mentally unstable.
A 25-year-old 10th grade English teacher at Brazosport High School in Houston, Texas admitted to having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student last year, and after apologizing for what she did, she will be spared jail time.
The incident first came to light when students spotted the teacher Nikki Scherwitz at an after-prom party at one student’s house.
“She was wearing no shoes when she showed up…like a cut up, cut off shirt and everything,” said one of the teens at the party. Witnesses said it appeared that Scherwitz had been drinking. At one point, a student approached Scherwitz and asked her to leave because it was inappropriate for her to be there, so she left with a male student.
Now, after admitting to the sexual encounter and pleading guilty to charges against her, Scherwitz will not face any jail time. She has been sentenced to 10 years probation and $5,000 fine thanks in part to a letter she wrote apologizing for her behavior.
"I apologize for the behavior I engaged in with a student,” wrote Scherwitz in the letter. “I crossed an ethical boundary I never should have crossed. I’m sorry."
Many students and parents are outraged at Scherwitz’s life sentence, claiming that it would not be the same if she was a male and the student was a female.
“The men get 25 to life, but a woman gets a slap on the wrist with only a $5,000 fine,” said student Mario Salinas.
Scherwitz has been told that she will never be allowed to teach again and that she has to stay away from minors.
The University of California at Berkeley was celebrating "National Condom Week" last week when a group of school children touring the campus were exposed to some unusual educational sex games for college students.
A group of elementary and middle school students were led through the quad area while college students played “pin-the-tail on the anus” and threw condoms into poster board cut outs of vaginas and anuses.
The campus’ health services division described other activities as "insertive condom fisting activity to show how stretchy these sexy condoms can be” and how to “properly use insertive condoms in a vagina or anus.”
In addition to the sex games, there was also a man dressed as a giant penis handing out condoms.
According to TheCollegeFix.com, UC President Janet Napolitano was visiting UC Berkeley on the same day as the kids.
"All day long, little kids were prancing by the dental dam demonstrations, sex-themed games of chance, and the guy in the penis suit," college student Claire Chiara told Campus Reform.
"It was poor planning on the part of the Tang Center to put up the Sex Ed tent in front of Sproul Hall, as that is the most popular spot on campus for tour groups to stop," added Chiar.
Congratulations, New Mexico residents. According to a new study, you sensual romantics have longer sex sessions than residents from any other state in America.
The study was carried out by Nerve using data from the popular sexual achievement app Spreadsheets. Spreadsheets uses your phone’s accelerometer to measure the details of a sex session – things like time, thrust force, and so on. Nerve compiled this data and found that New Mexico lovers have the longest sex sessions by almost a minute and a half margin. The average New Mexico sex session topped just seven minutes at 7:01. Keep in mind this time represents only sexual intercourse -- foreplay isn’t included.
Cold Alaskans – probably rushing for their clothes because, after all, who likes to be naked when it’s freezing – have the shortest sessions, with an average time of just 1:21. South Dakota residents came in second-to-last place with a 1:30 time.
West Virginia, Idaho, South Carolina, and Missouri round out the top five behind New Mexico.

An Austrian postgraduate student on holiday in Dubai faces charges after going to police to report that the son of a police officer raped her. The 24-year-old is facing charges of sex before marriage and alcohol consumption, both of which are illegal in the Muslim country.
Sources close to the case all told Gulf News details about the incident and claimed that an investigation is currently being conducted to determine if the rape allegations are true or if the sex was indeed consensual.
“The woman came with friends on holiday for Christmas and the 42nd National Day celebrations,” describes one source. “She went with her friends to a pub in a hotel to attend a National Day party and that was where she met the man, who introduced himself as an Emirati. The man was also with a group of joint friends. The partygoers decided to go to an after-party gathering. The man offered to drive the student. He locked the doors as soon as they jumped into his car in the basement parking. When he unlocked the doors the Austrian claims that she ran away and saw a group of people. She claimed to them that she had been raped and those people told the police.”
According to reports, police tried to convince her to marry the man in order to get herself out of being charged with sex outside of marriage, but the woman refused and insisted that she was raped.
“The Austrian woman, who is in her mid 20s, is currently facing primary charges of having consensual sex with the Yemeni man and consuming liquor,” said the source. “Further investigations will prove whether she was raped as she claims or had consensual sex. Police records show that the couple had consensual sex. Prosecutors have requested the footage of the parking area’s surveillance cameras to confirm her claims whether she was crying and in a distraught state when she got out of the car or not.”
Police say that the woman initially claimed that the sex was consensual and only later changed her claim to rape, but the woman insists that the man and his police officer father pressured her to make false claims in the first place. Both sex outside of marriage and alcohol consumption are illegal in the United Arab Emirates, which means the young woman could face serious charges if found guilty of either.
Police in St. Charles, Missouri say that a 22-year-old former college wrestler has been arrested after having sex with over 30 people and not informing them that he was HIV-positive.
Michael Johnson has been charged with exposing sexual partners to HIV, and now, authorities say they have videos of some of his sexual encounters as proof.
“On that laptop were 32 videos engaged in sexual acts with Mr. Johnson,” said St. Charles County prosecutor Tim Lohmar. “It’s safe to safe that numerous of those videos were taken inside his dorm room; we know that because we recognize the furniture.”
Johnson was arrested back in October after one of the victims went to police to report what was going on. More victims have since come forward, and all of them have been tested. Many of the victim’s tests have come back negative while others are still awaiting results.
"Obviously, for a victim to come forward is something that takes a lot of courage," said Lohmar. "They also have to know that they are going to be part of this public prosecution."
According to reports, around 32 different men are said to have been exposed to HIV at the hands of Johnson. It’s believed that Johnson met most of the victims on social media, which authorities say he is very active on. Johnson was initially charged with just one count of risking infection of another with HIV, but since October, he has been charged with four different felony counts.
Police are currently trying to identify all of the victims in the sex tapes.
A 25-year-old man was sentenced to community service and 100 hours of unpaid work after he attempted to have sex with a drink cart on a train in Scotland.
According to reports, Andrew Davidson was drunk and on a legal high when he approached a crewmember to purchase a beer.
"The accused had previously asked to purchase a can of beer from her but had been told she had run out,” described prosecutor Jim Eodanable. “He approached again and tried to engage her in conversation. Just prior to arriving in Dundee station he asked if he could kiss her and she said no. This was heard by passengers who were concerned for her safety. One passenger, who had her daughter with her, decided to keep an eye on the situation. The train stopped and the accused was seen placing his hands on a female passenger leaving the train. He was rubbing his chest, sticking his tongue out and shouting about what he wanted to do to his boyfriend. He got back to his feet. He then approached the unattended trolley and started rubbing himself against the trolley."
Davidson was allegedly humping the cart, announcing to the people onboard that he wanted to have sex with it.
When the train stopped in Perth, officers were outside waiting for Davidson and say they found him face down, unable to remember anything that happened.
Davidson will now have to complete his sentence of community service and 100 hours of unpaid work. He will not, however, be placed on the sex offenders list because the court determined that the sexual aspect of the situation was not significant.
"I really can't remember anything that happened,” said Davidson in a letter to the court. “I am disgusted with my behaviour. I'm very sorry. “
In a scene that could have been taken straight out of a soap opera, one man in Chicago lit another man’s genitals on fire for sleeping with his girlfriend.
“This will be a lesson to you, I lit your (genitals) on fire,” he said to the victim during the alleged act.
The man who was burned apparently walked down the street to a Laundromat to apply Vasoline to the burned area in an attempt to sooth it. Police found him there soothing his burns and took him to a local hospital to be treated.
According to the police report, the angry man walked in on his girlfriend having sex with the other man, who is 30 years old. He reportedly got so angry that he punched the guy in the face, which knocked him unconscious, and then proceeded to take a Bic lighter and light his genitals on fire. The lighter was reportedly on the high setting.
Still, no one is currently in police custody.
An Australian government employee seeking workers’ compensation for an injury that occurred while having sex on a work trip has been denied her claims. The woman, who is to remain anonymous for legal reasons, suffered injuries when a light fixture fell on her face and injured her nose and mouth while she was having sex in a motel paid for by her employer. The woman claimed she also suffered psychological damage due to the nature of the injury, the Telegraph reports.
The event took place in 2007, while the woman was overseeing a budget review in a regional office. The court threw out the case because it deemed the sexual activity was not work-related. More specifically, the court deemed the activity was “not an ordinary incident of an overnight stay like showering, sleeping, eating, or returning to the place of residence from a social occasion elsewhere in the vicinity.” Also, the woman’s claims were denied because the light fixture was knocked off by one of the individuals engaged in intercourse. If it had been a faulty light, then the motel, and therefore the employer, which paid for the motel, would be responsible.
Although the woman was initially granted compensation by the Full Bench of the Federal Court last year, the High Court reversed those claims. That means that this case reached the highest judiciary branch in Australia, so those seeking future compensation for accidental sex-related incidents on work trips are likely to be immediately denied.
In the small Colombian town of Barbacaos, some women are taking a stand to try and get the condition of a road that connects them to the rest of the country improved.
The women of Barbacaos are pledging that until the road is fixed, they will stop having sex altogether. Participants of the sex strike say that because of the condition of the road, it takes them up to 14 hours to get to the nearest hospital, which proves to be a huge problem.
This is the second time in two years that the women of the town have gone on a sex strike. The first time was in 2011 when they demanded that the same road be fixed, and the strike eventually ended when government officials promised them that it would be fixed. Two years later, however, no progress has been made, so the women are again launching the strike, which they call the “crossed legs movement.”
The original strike came about after the women of the town saw a young woman in labor and her unborn child died because the ambulance got stuck on the road, failing to make it to the hospital in time.
“Why bring children into this world when they can just die without medical attention and we can't even offer them the most basic rights?” asked strike leader Ruby Quinonez in 2011. “We decided to stop having sex and stop having children until the state fulfills its previous promises.”
According to reports, the strike has already motivated the government to begin work on the road.
