On January 20, Barack Obama placed his right hand on the Bible, swore to uphold the Constitution and became the 44th president of the United States. The historical symbolism of this moment was enormous, but the honeymoon won't last long. In fact, it may have already ended. With a crippled economy, a war in two countries and divided nation to contend with, Obama takes office at one of the most troubled times in American history. What should his priorities be once the inauguration celebrations are over?

What happened to Obama the healer? Was that too just a convenient façade that was to come and go—and come?
Are we no longer all purple state friends, but to be at each other’s throats—and quite literally? Thus the great healer Obama just warned of impending “hand-to-hand combat” if the Republicans take over. He once declared of Sean Hannity that one of his supporters would “tear him up.” He thought he was a Chicagoan Sean Connery in the The Untouchables boasting that “if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” He advised Latinos “to punish” their Republican “enemies.” Not long ago candidate Obama pontificated that his supporters just had to confront Republicans and Independents and “get in their face.” We remember his “whose ass to kick” or his relegation of Republican opponents to “hostage takers” and suicide bombers: “Here’s the problem: It’s almost like they’ve got—they’ve got a bomb strapped to them and they’ve got their hand on the trigger. You don’t want them to blow up.”
Obama clearly likes the tough guy imagery of metaphorically slicing, shooting and bombing: “We can’t have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.” So are we back to the Valerie Jarrett, Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, Bill Daley Chicago style? What happened to our new president as Deepak Chopra?
Next, Our great compromise president and his teleprompter:
** Obama: “They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
** Obama to His Followers: “Get in Their Faces!”
** Obama on ACORN Mobs: “I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
** Obama to His Mercenary Army: “Hit Back Twice As Hard”
** Obama on the private sector: “We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“
** Obama to voters: Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”
** Obama to lib supporters: “It’s time to Fight for it.”
** Obama to Latino supporters: “Punish your enemies.”
** Obama to democrats: “I’m itching for a fight.”
Slip of the tongue or momentary confusion? In a television interview discussing his religion, Sen. Barack Obama stated, "My Muslim faith." Obama, speaking to ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "This Week," was talking about what he described as "smears" that were claiming he was a Muslim when he maintains he is a practicing Christian. "Let's not play games," Obama stated. "What I was suggesting – you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you're absolutely right that that has not come." Stephanopoulos immediately interrupted Obama, stating, "Christian faith." "My Christian faith," Obama quickly said. "Well, what I'm saying is that he (McCain) hasn't suggested that I'm a Muslim. And I think that his campaign's upper echelons have not, either. What I think is fair to say is that, coming out of the Republican camp, there have been efforts to suggest that perhaps I'm not who I say I am when it comes to my faith – something which I find deeply offensive, and that has been going on for a pretty long time." The statements came amid an exchange in which Obama accused Republicans of spreading "lies" that he is a Muslim. McCain, though, has strongly condemned such accusations. "These guys love to throw a rock and hide their hand," Obama said. But Stephanopoulos corrected the Illinois senator, stating, "The McCain campaign has never suggested you have Muslim connections." Obama replied: "I don't think that when you look at what is being promulgated on Fox News, let's say, and Republican commentators who are closely allied to these folks." "But John McCain said that's wrong," Stephanopoulos shot back.
Next, May 2010: President Barry Barak Hussen Obama is trying to allay the fears of American Jewish voters as we approach the mid-term elections. Some of his advisers are making conciliatory statements to the press; he's told Middle East envoy George Mitchell to ease up on the arm-twisting; and he even approved $200 million to assist Israel in building a defensive weapons system. That's all fine, but this is one of those situations where you have to be careful about watching the one hand while the other picks your pocket. The President may seem to be trying to make nice with Israel, but, at the same time, he has approved America's formal membership in the Alliance of Civilizations. This UN organization was founded in 2006 to bridge "the gaps between Muslim and Western civilizations." President Bush refused to join because he recognized that it would be used by hostile nations to bludgeon Israel. Sure enough, in the last four years the Alliance of Civilizations has promoted the idea that the main reason for the Muslim-Western rift is Israel, its settlement activity, and its very existence. Sounds like just the kind of organization President Obama would love. So, sign us up! Oh, that's right, he already has.
Next, may 2010: Last week, two Middle Eastern nations conducted important military exercises. Israel held a series of national drills staged by the IDF and the Home Front Command. They and the Israeli citizens practiced their defensive response to massive conventional, chemical, and biological missile attacks by Hezbollah and Syria. Even school children rehearsed how to proceed to shelters in the event of such attacks. Hospitals staged mock triage drills. Two cities even practiced procedures for absorbing 200,000 Israeli refugees from bombed- out cities.
Immediately west of Israel, Egypt staged a series of offensive maneuvers. Egyptian armed forces practiced invading an unidentified "enemy." The drill scenario called for the invasion of an "enemy" that would require a forced crossing of the Suez Canal and an eastward traverse of the Sinai desert. Coincidentally, I'm sure, the only "enemy" that would necessitate an eastward crossing of the Suez Canal and the Sinai Peninsula is Israel! The Egyptians signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1979. It cost Anwar Sadat his life. It's odd that they would practice invading their peace partner. Of course, it's par for the course in the Middle East, Mr. President.
Next, May 2010: Speaking of not understanding -- or acknowledging -- the complexities of the Middle East, the President's counter-terrorism adviser, John Brennan, let it be known last week that he thinks there are 'moderate elements' within Hezbollah that the U.S. can do business with. Of course, he's also told us that Islam is a religion of peace and that Islamic jihad is "a good thing." There's an old saying about politics that sums up our predicament pretty plainly: "Personnel is policy." In this case, that means that what the people around the President think is, most often, what the President is going to do. If that doesn't keep you on your knees a little longer, you're not paying attention! Is this the dumbest employee of the Barry Barak Hussen Obama Administration or is he saying exactly what he is told?
Jon Huntsman (former governor of Utah, and current ambassador to the People’s Republic of China) has not addressed the recent ridiculousness over our State Department apologizing to the People’s Republic of China for Arizona’s enforcement of the government’s own illegal immigration policy. Because it’s now officially part of the national discussion: The absolute low point of Barry Barak Hussen's diplomatic escapades came last Friday, when a U.S. State Department delegation met with Chinese negotiators to discuss human rights. Apparently, our State Department felt it necessary to make their Chinese guests feel less bad about their own record of human rights abuses by repeatedly atoning for American “sins” – including, it seems, the Arizona immigration/pro-border security law. Instead of grilling the Chinese about their appalling record on human rights, the State Department continued the unbelievable apology tour by raising “early and often” Arizona’s decision to secure our border. Who's side is this Administration on?
Next, Rep. Pete Hoekstra of Michigan, the ranking member on the House intelligence committee, says the resignation of Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair “is the result of the Obama administration’s rampant politicization of national security and outright disregard for congressional intelligence oversight.” Hoekstra, who formerly served as chairman of the intelligence committee, issued a written statement saying that Blair’s readiness to step down, considering his record of service to the country, was “a disturbing sign of the stranglehold the Obama White House has placed on America’s intelligence agencies.” Clearly, and understandably, Director Blair was frustrated by the White House’s micromanagement and sidelining of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on national security issues. "Blair’s resignation is the result of the Obama administration’s rampant politicization of national security and outright disregard for congressional intelligence oversight. Blair’s resignation is disturbing and unfortunate. The concerns I have come from how the Obama administration conducts national security, not over the director of national intelligence, who they never allowed to do it.
"Congressional Republicans we will be watching closely who the president plans to name as a successor. Right now, the Obama administration’s national security apparatus is broken, dysfunctional and in disarray. Dennis Blair was the one person you could count on for rationality among Holder, Napolitano and Brennan—and he’s the one the president let go."
Next, Monday, May 24, 2010. Dr. Donald Berwick, nominated by President Barry Barack Hussen Obama to head the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the agency that runs Medicare, published an article in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), advising leaders of Britain’s socialized health care system: “Please don’t put your faith in market forces.” The article, published in the July 26, 2008 issue of the BMJ, compared the U.S. health care system unfavorably to the British system, which Berwick said he was “romantic about.” Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.), who serves on the Senate Finance Committee, which has oversight over Berwick’s nomination, told CNSNews.com that he believes Berwick misunderstands the American health care system. "Nobody spends someone else's money as carefully as they spend their own," said Roberts, "and that's what we've seen happening over the last several decades as the government pays for more and more care.” Roberts noted that Berwick’s “avid support for the rationing system” in Great Britain makes him a candidate to carry out a similar system here in the United States now that President Obama’s national health care plan has been enacted. “Obamacare will take on payment responsibility for a whole new class of Americans and, predictably, the Administration is searching for ways to contain their newly acquired costs,” said Roberts. “Rationing of health care will be their plan.
Unemployment in America is hovering at just below 10 percent, so President Barry Barack Hussein Obama hosts a "Summit on Entrepreneurship" in Washington, D.C., in an effort to boost economic development ... in Muslim nations? The president thinks more U.S. investment in Muslim lands and exchange programs that will bring Muslim women to America so they can work as interns will enhance U.S. prosperity and, thus, change Muslim attitudes about the United States. Egypt receives about $2 billion of American taxpayer dollars every year, yet it still votes against American interests at the U.N. 79 percent of the time. Jordan, a "moderate" Muslim nation, receives nearly $200 million annually in U.S. foreign aid, but votes against America at the U.N. 71 percent of the time. Pakistan votes 75 percent of the time against the U.S. at the U.N. while pocketing nearly $7 million annually in foreign aid (in addition to the money it gets to supposedly fight al-Qaida). Since 2007, U.S. foreign aid to the Palestinian Authority and to PA-controlled (nongovernmental organizations) reached nearly $2 billion, in addition to $3.7 billion contributed by the U.S. to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. Has this aid produced jobs? Has it led to both sides in the Middle East conflict mounting a sustained effort to respect one another and seek common ground? On April 20, 2010 Abbas named a Ramallah street in honor of Abu Jihad, the architect of PLO terrorism during 1965-1988. Honor? For masterminding terrorism targeting Israeli civilians? On March 11, PA (Palestinian Authority) media , which Abbas controls, praised Dalal Mughrabi, who commanded the 1978 Coastal Road Massacre, which resulted in the deaths of 38 civilians, including 13 children. The PA also named a girl's school in Hebron, a computer center, a summer camp and a sport tournament after Mughrabi. In 1994, Abbas, who was then deputy to Yasser Arafat, inaugurated a system of hate education that continues to this day. In the PA media, in schools and in mosques, children and adults are exposed to venomous anti-Semitic speech and images that rival those of The Third Reich. In fact, writes Ettinger, "Hitler and suicide-bombers are folk heroes." As Arafat's top aid for 50 years, Abbas was involved in the "betrayal of Arab host countries such as Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Kuwait. He enrolled in KGB courses and submitted a doctorate thesis on Holocaust denial at the Moscow University." Abbas supervised the logistics of the 1972 Munich Olympic Games massacre that took the lives of 11 Israeli athletes, co-supervised the March 1973 murder of two U.S. ambassadors in Sudan, was a key member of the Palestinian cell of the Muslim Brotherhood in Cairo and earned the nickname "Mr. 20 percent" because of his corruption. And yet, President Obama's special Middle East envoy, George Mitchell, treats him as a legitimate leader who shares American objectives for the region?
Next, Barry Barack Hussein Obama Tries to Eradicate Radical Islam / April 9, 2010. The Obama administration has just announced its intent to ban all words that allude to Islam from important national security documents. Put differently, the Obama administration has just announced its intent to ban all knowledge and context necessary to confront and defeat radical Islam (news much welcomed by Islamist organizations like CAIR).
Next, Obama, showing contempt for the professionalism and character of police officers, said: "Now suddenly if you don't have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you're going to be harassed." Lawyer Barry Barak Hussen Obama must know that since 1952 federal law has said: "Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him." Gee, next time can we elect a President who will put the citizens before the invaders? I am sure Obama's next speech will refer to them as Democratic immigrants. Maybe we also could advise our "professor" President that Nazi's and the Soviets demanded INTERNAL passports from law-abiding citizens which were used to control travel WITHIN their country."
Next, President Obama's speech at the University of Michigan commencement ceremony over the weekend was, as analyst Greg Knapp described it, a "self serving, political speech chastising Americans who disagree with his ideas and policies that are leading us to even bigger government." In his speech, Obama warned that today's political discourse can "send signals to the most extreme elements of our society that perhaps violence is a justifiable response."
Barry Barack Hussein Soetoro Obama says America is one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. In an interview with France’s Canal Plus, Obama suggested that the United States might be a Muslim country. “And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. Obama said in Turkey that Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation”. Telegraph.co/UK says: UPDATE 2: a reputable survey by Pew that puts the number of Muslims in the US at 1.8 million. This would make it the 48th biggest Muslim country, after the above list plus France, Libya, Jordan, Israel, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, Germany, Kuwait, Oman, Eritrea, Lebanon and Serbia and Montenegro – and just above Britain, which would be the 50th.

Late last year, Obama installed Robert Bauer – top lawyer for Obama, Obama's presidential campaign, the Democratic National Committee and Obama's Organizing for America – as White House counsel. Is COINTELPRO Back Using Organized Gang Stalking?
by Bonnie Calcagno
COINTELPRO in the 50’s and 60’s targeted members of the women ’s rights movement, the National Lawyer’s Guild, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, groups protesting the Vietnam War, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People among others. The Church Committee concluded our government undertook government surveillance of people because of their political beliefs even when there was no threat of violence or criminal behavior on behalf of a foreign power. The American Civil Liberties Union tells us today Section 802 of the USA Patriot Act expanded the type of conduct the government can investigate when investigating terrorism . “The definition of domestic terrorism is broad enough to encompass the activities of several prominent activist campaigns and organizations.” The ACLU names Greenpeace, Operation Rescue, Vieques Island and WTO protestors and the Environmental Liberation Front” as having engaged in activities that could be branded domestic terrorism. While the right is complaining the label domestic terrorist is being attached to supporters of Ron Paul , Bob Barr, libertarians, those who have written about the constitution , Tea Party Activists and a host of others.
Senator Feingold, the chairman of the Constitution Subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee, before he even knew who would succeed George Bush, called on the incoming President “to pledge his commitment to restoring the rule of law ” in America. In his Report Card on the First 100 Days of the Obama Administration he has given an “Incomplete” in every area of Obama’s record on Domestic Surveillance and Privacy: an incomplete on “declassifying info about implementation of controversial provisions of the Patriot Act,” an incomplete on “cooperate with a review of domestic intelligence activities and authorities,” an incomplete on “ support legislative changes to the FISA Amendments Act,” an incomplete on “reconsider the new Attorney General Guidelines governing FBI investigations.” In testimony given to the Senate Committee On The Judiciary, Subcommittee On The Constitution, Civil Rights, And Property Rights, which Senator Feingold chairs – Frederick A.O. Schwarz, Jr., Senior Counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice in New York City, wrote “a bipartisan independent investigatory Commission should be established by the next Congress and President, first to determine what has gone wrong (and right) with our policies and practices in confronting terrorists since September 11, 2001, and then to recommend lasting solutions to address past mistakes.” Later in his testimony he wrote, “A Commission would serve several functions. It would reveal the many as-yet-unknown aspects of what our government has done and how it evaluated or rationalized its action. And there is much we do not know. We still do not know, for example, the legal justifications advanced for the so-called ‘extraordinary rendition’ or ‘terrorist surveillance’ programs. We do not know with sufficient detail who was responsible for advocating and implementing the troubling policies based on these legal opinions. Nor do we know whether there are other secret programs that have not yet been revealed. But, as former Attorney General Nicholas deB. Katzenbach and I have argued elsewhere, in a country whose government is premised on the rule of law, there is never a justification for keeping binding legal decisions secret.”
The last COINTELPRO program was only made public when an FBI field office was burglarized by left-wing radicals and files there were passed to news agencies (many who wouldn’t publish the information). If organized gang stalking is the latest tactic being used in a new version of COINTELPRO with the same old objective of – neutralizing dissidents – how will we ever find out without a Commission to look into the classified surveillance programs started by George Bush and continued by Barach Obama as part of the War on Terror?
Is COINTELPRO Back Using Organized Gang Stalking? Part 3
by Bonnie Calcagno
Is COINTELPRO back? Let’s look at the facts. The Attorney General’s Guidelines released on May 30, 2002 rescinded anti-COINTELPRO regulations opening the door to further COINTELPRO operations. Allegations have been made that organized gang stalkers are using red cars , red trucks, wearing-carrying red. The FBI has used conspicuous surveillance before. Moreover, the Bush Administration wanted to get community groups such as the Neighborhood Watch Groups to play a broader role of surveillance in the War on Terror. Its Justice Department put forth the Terrorist Information and Prevention System, Operation TIPS, which planned to involve millions of workers nationwide as informants in the War on Terror. Through a Citizen Corp George Bush hoped to get Americans across the country engaged in homeland security . The Bill of Rights Defense Committee said the TIPS program would get citizens to “secretly provide information to the government about any persons whom they consider suspicious, and for the government to set up files on these persons.” The fear of the Bill of Rights Defense Committee was that doing that “may potentially damage someone’s record due to innocent activities that are misunderstood or are invented or enhanced by the caller because of a personal vendetta.” Under pressure from Congress the TIPS program was supposedly not put into effect. But it has been said a version of it was put into effect in secret. Regardless, a team of inspectors general in July, 2009 reported that the Bush administration did put into effect an unprecedented surveillance operation by executive order after the 9/11 attack. We don’t know what the surveillance programs were because they are classified. Representative Jane Harman expressed shock when she heard of these classified surveillance programs. Senator Patrick Leahy called for a nonpartisan inquiry into the government’s information-gathering programs. When in response to two Freedom of Information Act lawsuits the FBI published on its website its Domestic Investigations and Operations Guidelines, it deleted almost the entire section on the “undisclosed participation” by the FBI or its informants in domestic groups. So the question is who are the FBI’s informants in domestic groups? Is there a relationship between what it is trying to hide and the citizens with red cars, red trucks, wearing and carrying red who are part of the organized gang stalkers harassing American citizens.
Is COINTELPRO Back Using Organized Gang Stalking? Part 2
by Bonnie Calcagno
Some of the tactics used in gang stalking are similar to tactics used in the Counter Intelligence Program (COINTELPRO) used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) between 1956 and 1971. Brian Glick, an attorney, tells us in his book , War at Home, the four main methods used by the FBI during COINTELPRO were psychological warfare, infiltration, harassment through the legal system, and extralegal force and violence. Just as neighbors today are solicited to join in gang stalking a target, back in the fifties and sixties, the FBI would pressure parents, employers, landlords. school officials and others in the life of targets to cause problems for them. Back then the FBI used dirty tricks to discredit targets, just as today in organized gang stalking misinformation about targets is spread. Brian Glick tells us the FBI used psychological warfare in their COINTELPRO program in the 50’s and 60’s against targets; today in organized gang stalking psychological tactics are used where ordinary everyday items are repetively used to create doublebinds. Open garage doors, lawn mowers left on front lawns are repetitively used by all the gang stalkers to attract the target’s notice where to notice and report such everything things makes the target sound crazy – the intent of the gang stalkers. In the 50’s and 60’s FBI agents would infiltrate groups pretending to be members; gang stalking targets today allege infiltration is taking place again with those feigning to be gang stalking targets making outrageous claims to create the impression targets are paranoid.
I
President Obama should have as his top priority to restore the rule of law . But obviously that isn't even on the list as he asserts the same Imperial Presidency prerogatives as Bush. He is a disgrace in the area of civil liberties where as his predecessor he places himself above the rule of law. As a victim of his surveillance policy - started under Bush - I find it outrageous that he has kept in place the surveillance program of George Bush. In July, 2009 federal inspector generals made public the unprecedented surveillance operation push put in place through executive order which remains classified. Below is my experience of it. Shame on Bush. Shame on Obama. Shame on American citizens for being asleep, for letting this go on. My experience is in parts because it was too long.
Is COINTELPRO Back Using Organized Gang Stalking? Part 1
by Bonnie Calcagno
Imagine what it is like to be stalked by 20, 30, or 40 people a day, to have one of them there when you leave your house in the morning, there when you come home at night. That is what organized gang stalking targets go through. They are stalked at intersections, in parks, in stores, as they walk along streets, as they enter or exit buildings, everywhere they go. Now imagine that this organized gang stalking happens not for one day or for a week or for a month, but for years.
A target’s property might have trash thrown on it. There might be car alarms set off or beeping of horns if they try to take a walk, when the go to throw out the trash. There might be noise scheduled to disrupt their sleep . Neighbors might be enlisted to join in the harassment in an attempt to socially isolate the target. Dogs might be used to intimidate, running up to the target, or jumping out of car windows. There might be wrong numbers to the target’s phone, vehicles stopping and standing in front of the target’s home.
What organized gang stalkers do is sensitize the target to a stimulus that all the gang stalkers use. The stimulus is often an everyday thing – for instance, the color “red.” The thing that makes the stimulus so aversive is the frequency with which it occurs. A group of 20 or 30 or 40 or more of organized gang stalkers might be involved in harassing the target, so the target is continuously harassed with the same stimulus but by different individuals. Every time the target enters or leaves his or her home, for instance, an organized gang stalker will be there with something red on. The target’s routines are ascertained. Neighbors – afraid of being gang stalked themselves – might alert the gang stalkers when the target is leaving his or her home. When the target walks on the beach, three or four gang stalkers wearing red might be there. When the target opens his or her blinds in the morning, the first thing he or she will see will be a gang stalker in red. It is the frequency of the stimulus and the duration of the gang stalking that makes it so aversive along with the isolation of the target.

You have a voice. USE IT!
At our current state people are loosing jobs at a rapid rate. Things are starting to collapse, It is time to get the economy going!
The period of the largest upsurge of human well-being in America, the land populated by immigrants from Europe where few had enough to eat, was during the period with the least government supervision and regulation and taxation. This is not surprising to those of us who see human freedom of action, not as a flag-waving word, but as the necessary societal condition for human intelligence, inventiveness, produtiveness and peaceful trade to occur. Very surprising to those who view human ambition as an actual evil (they call it selfishness and greed) endangering the least productive in society and to the society as a whole. You are a human being, you tell us what you would do with all you earn, if left free to enjoy it.
But, we can move beyond broad evidence and examine the way in which government regulation, including anti-trust laws, have squelched inventiveness, maximum productiveness and a lower enjoyment of the fruits of one's earnings. It is clear that, more recently, the Sarbane-Oxley Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, the tax support to shore up the wasteful results of FHA, FNMA, FDMCA, all resulting in subprime lending to those not qualified to repay mortgage loans has created the failure of REITs (real estate investment trusts) and other derivatives luring foreign investment funds into bottomless pits in America has caused a worldwide depression and unadmitted depression in America. The proposed policies to cure this situation which will produce runaway inflation and the loss of the purchasing power of the US dollar for those who trusted the "full faith and credit of the United States of America" (=government) with the now-non-existent value of their savings for their retirement years, the education of their children, the enjoyment of life that is supposed to be America's heritage to actual people.
So, we need to roll government back to a level we can afford and to a level of powerlessness that will enable the actual contributors to society (free men and women) to become productive again, to "remake America". This is best accomplished by identifying the sequence in which laws progressively (yes, they were laws favored by "Progressives") weakened the productivity of America's people, then begin repealing those laws in reverse order.
Obama's priority is to make this Reform by Repeal his highest priority, if he is to achieve the social condition in which the people can again create an economy and enable us to live well here. However, he is committed in word, chosen alliances and action to installing a faxciest form of economic dictatorship in America, making our lives even more miserable.
His...and your...only guide to a healthy course of action is found in books such as:
Human Action by Ludwig von Mises
Capitalism, the Unknown Ideal by Ayn Rand
Capitalism: A Treatise on Economics by George Reisman
The Capitalist Manifesto by Andrew Bernstein
Moral Rights and Political Freedom by Dr. Tara Smith
The Virtue of Selfishness: a New Concept of Egoism by Ayn Rand
If you make those your priority...even emergency...reading list, you'll understand better the disaster that is being forced on us and the foundational ideas that will restore America once the anti-individual-rights "Regressivists" had done their worst.
From Canada
The priority should be a spiritual one.
The whole campaign and coverage since the election has been
(1) Blacks deserve to have their identity be president and not others
(2) Americans are in motives and character hostile, active or inactive, to Blacks getting high, or any, thing in America today.
(3) Americans, by a majority, have likewise been this way in the past decades or centuries.
On behalf of america NO and NOT GUILTY.
They don't deserve to have one of 'theirs" be President. To be president is for Americans. The blacks can just claim the right like other immigrants.
Americans are not hostile to blacks getting what they can. Its a wicked accusation.
Americans applaud and accept anyone doing well. Blacks just blame others because they underachieve. In fact they are the ones who put up roadblocks to other people by way of the quota/affirmative action culture.
Americans in the yankee lands always accepted the Blacks , post civil war, as citizens. Resistance was no more then to any other new immigrants to their lands. Any lack of full acceptance was reasonable for such a lower newcomer. Perhaps other ethnic immigrants were more unaccepting. Yet these Africans were treated fine and couldn't ask for more. Different teams are different teams. Its not true that Americans were hostile to these very different foreign people.
its a false accusation on the millions of people in the past and not here to defend themselves.
President Obama should correct and apologize for these errors or slanders.
Otherwise moral legitimacy is already over. Accusations matter in high places.
For those peaceniks who object to the war in Iraq and the war in Afghanistan and the war in Gaza -- I ask are you: are you also objecting to an ongoing war that's been waged for 40 years, complete with weaponry, death and destruction, detention, search and seizure with no oversight, government propaganda with the complicity of the media, and millions upon millions of lives affected? I am talking about the War on Drugs, and it is being waged by the United States Government against the poorest and weakest of its own citizens.
We have 5% of the world's population but 25% of the world's prison population. One in every 100 American adults is behind bars. One out of every 32 adults is either in prison, jail, on probation or paroled. Jobs are lost, careers are ruined, children are taken away from their parents, property and money are seized, student funding is lost. And who is calling for this injustice to end?
Its time for all forward-looking people to recognize that when prison stocks are traded on Wall Street, more prisoners means more profits. We are suffering under a severe conflict of interest. It is way past time for public welfare to trump corporate interests. We must realize this is a public health issue, not a criminal one, which must be pursued based on science not politics. End the War on Drugs, now!
Don't f*ck up.
Oh, and try not to do anything that would make John Keynes or Karl Marx proud either. Which means rejecting pretty much half your platform and not JUST the windfall profits tax.
I was surprised not to see this at the top of the recommended priorities for Obama. At the top of my list would be launching war crimes prosecution against Bush and his aids. Failing to do so undermines the rule of law and harms U.S. credibility abroad.
There's a reason it wasn't up there. That reason is that no experts would ruin there name by defending it. Not even Nancy Pelosi went for it. That's because there were no war crimes. I challenge you to show me one war crime committed or ordered by Bush or his officials. Since there aren't any, you will bring me either what you think is a war crime but is in actuality an unfortunate fact of war, a dying child or a man carrying his wife's body in his arms, the most tragic part of the sometimes necessary evil that is war, one of the atrocities committed without orders or approval by one of the rare examples of non-professionalism in the most professional fighting force in the world, like Abu Ghraib, or an outright lie, like "9-11 was an inside job."
There is no question that G W Bush "got away with a lot" and has downgraded our freedoms.
Now he has the nerve to proclaim he has kept us from terrorist attack! Note that neither Brits nor Albanians (that provided 28 men to the "coalition fro the willing" have had terrorist attacks and they did not have Bush's "Help''
>" like "9-11 was an inside job."
You must realize that if not an inside job - at the very least GWB took office with the firms desire to engage us in a war in the middle east and "get Saddam for pappy".
Of course President Obama would achieve more by exerting his efforts to reverse the downtrend in our economy and eventually reduce the horrendous deficits built up by the previous administration.
Another priority for him- I've been told he smokes- which is neither good for him nor the role model he presents. I would think a man of his drive should be able to take command and eliminate that bad habit.

You have to note that the U.S. is the biggest power in the world, and the target of the majority of the Radical Islamist's rage. We were a much bigger target than either Britain or Albania. Britain has had its fair share of attacks, though most were unsuccsessful and the remainder were so small that they didn't make national news. Britain played defense, and foiled a great many attacks. The U.S. went on the offensive, and kept them off of our soil. The fact that Albania was not attacked is hardly worth considering. It's such an insignifigant target it's no surprise they weren't attacked. Furthermore, to say that they weren't helped by the U.S.'s actions in the Middle East is absurd. The Taliban and Al Qaeda are on the run. They aren't launching many attacks on Britain or Albania, even if they didn't do much to deserve that protection. (Which is not true, Britain sent a considerable amount of troops)
Your accusations against the Former President are repulsive. I don't know where you get off accusing any American, much less the former Commander In Chief of killing 2,751 Americans, without anything short of proof. Not speculation, not a theory, or a belief that it "just doesn't add up," but proof. Other than to call you out on that, I'm not even going to get into it with you.
Before Bush took office, the last thing on his mind was the Middle East. His mind was on reuniting America after a bitter election, on the economy, on social issues. If he was after Saddam, he could have done a lot better than blowing up the World Trade Center and blaming Al Qaeda, in Afghanistan. He simply could have pointed out the atrocities Saddam was committing against his own people and gone in for humanitarian purposes. Bush did the best he could in the situation he had.
As for his smoking habit, you do know that he is not magic, right? He is a human being, and has all the same weaknesses as the rest of us, to include addiction. Being a good speaker does not give him the "drive" to "take command" and quit smoking, no sweat. Besides, if he wants to smoke, who are you to tell him he can't? He's an American, he can do what he wants. Just because you voted for him doesn't mean he must bow to your every whim.
P.S. There's a website I think you should check out. It's a blog called Blame Bush (Because Bush is to blame for everything). Though the goal of the website is to mock liberals, you sound just like it. The similarities are hysterical.
>Before Bush took office, the last thing on his mind was the Middle East. His mind was on reuniting America after a bitter election, on the economy, on social issues.
If you will check on who Bush chose for vice president and his cabinet members it is obvious that he relished following the avowed Neocon policy of creating a military presence in the middle east.
I did not vote for him either time. A year before he ran for president I thought he could be a good choice. As the first election drew near I was suspicious of what electing him would result in. I did not relish the thought of two texas oil men at the head of the country.
Now how come gasoline was priced over $4. and is now being sold at less than half of that! That started an inflationary trend in food and all other products as they are all delivered by oil derived powered vehicles.
I have no reason to be a liberal. i do have plenty of reason to abhor the type of policies Bush used.
The Iraq war killed as many Iraqis as Saddam did.
It should be the duty of the president to avoid war if at all possible- not go out and start one.
At least with Obama as President I won't have to deny being an American when I vacation in Jamaica or any other foreign country. I still recall the words "we don't like what Bush is doing" in regard to the first Iraq action when I was vacationing in Jamaica. At least that action was UN supported and we liberated Kuwait and left.
Obama has a job ahead that he is already started on of earning back the respect of other nations for the United States.
It would have been less harmful if Bush had not enacted the tax cuts and then saddled us with the enormous cost of the war. And that is just the money part. Remember the men in the flag draped coffins and the thousands of wounded. Sure, maybe we learned how to make more and better prosthesis from it!
McCain thought the economy was fine. It is probable that Bush knew better but he was hoping for it to wit to blow up after his term. Instead the crash which has spread to the rest of the world makes him the 21st century "Hoover"!
Admittedly Franks and Dodd share some blame. But the Republican attitude is to keep hands off regulating anything bringing in big bucks. What a mess to hand to Obama.
And he is looking for answers as to how to cope with this. I am glad he is orator enough to work on restoring confidence and fostering faith and pride in our country.
That may well be his most important job!

George W. Bush and his ENTIRE regime need to be held accountable for not only War Crimes and crimes against humanity, but also the debt he has left us in. TRILLIONS of dollars.
Our politicians owe it to the American people and the rest of the world to have him held accountable. Like you said about vjack, failing to do so undermines the rule of law and harms the U.S. credibility abroad.
