On January 20, Barack Obama placed his right hand on the Bible, swore to uphold the Constitution and became the 44th president of the United States. The historical symbolism of this moment was enormous, but the honeymoon won't last long. In fact, it may have already ended. With a crippled economy, a war in two countries and divided nation to contend with, Obama takes office at one of the most troubled times in American history.
