Women aren’t allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia, but that didn’t stop one woman from using her husband’s truck to exact some revenge.

On the night the unidentified husband was marrying a second wife, the unidentified woman asked her brother to drive through red lights where the vehicle’s license plate could be picked up by cameras. He racked up nearly $80,000 in fines.

The stunt was captured on video (below).

“Well done by the wife,” commented a woman identified as Budoor. “He opted to distance himself from her, so it is only normal that she teaches him a lesson.”

A blogger named Zahra thought it was funny. “I am sure he was happily joking around with his friends while his vehicle was recording traffic fines,” she said. “He did not see it coming, of course, but he deserves what happened to him.”

Others disputed who would actually pay the fines. “It was his wedding evening and he has many witnesses who can testify that he was not driving his pickup,” Abu Arwa said. “His first wife and her brother will be forced to pay the fines since they were the ones in the car that broke the rules. They should also be sent to jail and given lashes for their reckless behaviour.”
