UK Police Use Skill, Not Guns To Arrest Man Swinging Large Knife (Video)

| by Michael Allen

A man was caught on video (below) by a police officer's body cam charging the cop and his partner with a large knife in Corby, England.

The incident happened on March 25, 2014, but the video was recently released and subsequently posted by The Telegraph.

In the video, officers Alex Prentice and Debbie Wishart repeatedly tell Lee Vickers to put down the knife, but he charges at them, waving the weapon.

Prentice's body cam captures the moments of madness, but also restraint as the police take down Vickers and arrest him without any gunfire or extreme violence.

The Telegraph notes that Vickers was sentenced to prison for three and a half years, while Prentice and Wishart were honored for their bravery.

In February, police used a stun gun on a knife-wielding man in Wiltshire, England. The man was reportedly trying to rob a grocery store (video below).

When police arrived at the store, one cop used a shopping cart to ward off James Lewis while another officer stopped him with a stun gun, reported ABC News.

Lewis was sentenced to three years in jail in May.
