Al-Shabaab, a Somalia-based terror group consisting of Islamic extremist rebels, issued an eerie threat to the United States, Canada and United Kingdom this weekend.

In a surprisingly specific message, the organization called for attacks on the Mall of America in Minnesota, the West Edmonton Mall in Canada and the Oxford Street shopping area in London.

Some were quick to dismiss these threats as nothing more than scare tactics. However, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson went on CNN this morning to caution people against this.

“If anyone is planning to go to the Mall of America today, they’ve got to be particularly careful,” Johnson told CNN’s Gloria Borger, according to The Blaze. "There will be enhanced security there, but public vigilance, public awareness and public caution in situations like this is particularly important, and it’s the environment we’re in, frankly."

This judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:

The Mall of America issued its own statement on the matter.

"We will continue to monitor events with the help of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies," read a portion of the statement, per Fox News. "As always, we take any potential threat seriously and respond appropriately. Mall of America has implemented extra security precautions, some may be noticeable to guests, and others won't be. We will continue to follow the situation, along with law enforcement, and will remain vigilant as we always do in similar situations."

In 2013, al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for a mall attack in Kenya that left more than 60 people dead.
