A 15-year-old girl is facing charges in connection to a video that captures a violent assault in Cowdenbeath, Scotland.

The video, uploaded to Facebook on Monday, was viewed more than 6 million times before it was taken down, according to BuzzFeed News.

In the video, a girl thought to be 13 years of age is repeatedly kicked, punched, and thrown to the ground by another teenage girl in the streets of Cowdenbeath as others watch.

Some onlookers attempted to stop the fight, and at another point in the video, the attacker says her victim is "pure shaking like a leaf."

The motivation for the attack appears to be the attacker's father, whom police anonymously received a complaint about by the victim's dad, the attacker said in the video.

A Facebook group created shortly after the assault reveals the alleged attacker's identity, save for her address or phone number. The page already had more than 9,000 likes.

Police Scotland said the incident was reported on Sunday, and a report will be sent to the Children's Reporter.
