Authorities spotted two men at the singer's house, close to where her body was found, Brazilian media outlet Globo reported. It is unknown at this time if the two men are suspects in a break-in or murder.

Braz was the lead singer for Kaoma. Together, they released the international Latin pop hit "La Lambada" in 1989. The song was recently sampled by Jennifer Lopez for her 2010 hit single "On The Floor," and used in an advertisement for the soft drink Orangina.

The Brazilian native performed with other greats such as Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil during her career. She lived in France during most of the 1980s.

"It is sad. She was a warm and likeable person," Ricardo Vilas, another Brazilian singer, said of Braz. "But she was also fragile and suffered a lot of difficulties."
