Police Fire Percussion Grenades At Rioting Soccer Fans In Brazil (Video)

Brazilian soccer teams Ceara and Fortaleza tied 2-2, which sparked a riot by fans in the World Cup stadium on May 3.

Even though the game was a tie, "Fortaleza won the Ceara state championship title on aggregate," noted The Guardian.

Fans of Fortaleza went on to the field celebrate, but were reportedly attacked by Ceara fans (video below).

In response, military police fired percussion grenades at the rioting fans. reports that police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at the at the fans who were "throwing broken seats at each other."
