Scientists in North Korea claimed to have invented an alcoholic beverage that doesn’t result in a hangover.
The ginseng beverage, known as Koryo liquor, reportedly replaces sugar with glutinous rice. The replacement eliminates a hangover as well as any bitterness.
“Koryo liquor, which is made of 6-year-old Kaesong Koryo insam [ginseng], known as being highest in medicinal effect, and the scorched rice, is highly appreciated by experts and lovers as it is suave and causes no hangover,” Taedonggang Foodstuff Factory -- the company that manufactures the drink -- said.
The 86 proof ginseng drink has been in the works for years, according to RT, but is not available internationally.
