Mexicans Slam Trump And Red Trump Hats (Video)

| by Michael Allen

People in Mexico City, Mexico, were asked on March 8 what they thought about President Donald Trump and his famous red "Make America Great Again" hats (video below).

Mediaite.com's Travis Irvine first asked the residents -- who were watching demonstrations for International Women’s Day -- what they thought about Trump, and their answers were not flattering:

I think he's a disgrace for the United States, and for the world.

He's unhinged, I believe, and not very trustworthy.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

I think he is a really immature guy.

He doesn't respect rights, and people's rights in general.

He has mental problems, and mental issues.

I think he just makes me think maybe we have no hope in this world if today we allow a person like that come to power.

He should just not be president. He should probably be in jail.

He making too much noise in social media.

Travis then asked Mexican folks what they thought about the red Trump hats, and their opinions were no improvement:

I think this hat is ridiculous.

I think it's too red to be honest.

I see it as a symbol of hate, and a symbol of wrongdoing. It's gross, take it away from me.

I would never wear this. I don't know why you are handing it to me.

I hate it. I don't want to touch it. I don't want to have anything to do with that.

I think America was greater before he was a president.

Because America is great, without Donald Trump, for me, is great.

I want to make American great again, very good, but the problem is together.

I have a vagina stencil. We can paint a vagina on top of it. Let's see what he thinks of that.

For people who do like the "Make America Great Again" hats, the official apparel can still be purchased on Trump's website for $25.00 per hat.

Trump has promised to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, and has said many times that Mexico will pay for it.

However, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was asked on March 9 by POLITICO if he thought Mexico would really pay for the wall, and he replied, "Uh, no."

The news site notes the border wall could cost an estimated $14 billion, or more.

The president of Mexico has insisted that his country will not be footing the bill, but Trump has repeatedly insisted that Mexico will pay for it.

"Build that wall!" was one of the popular chants at Trump's rallies during the election.
