New images taken by the Islamic State in Syria reveal a young man having his hand hacked off after he was accused of stealing.
The images were reportedly taken in ISIS’s de facto capital Raqqa. They show a young man being dragged into a public square where onlookers watch. The blindfolded man is forced into a chair, held in place, and attacked by two people with a meat cleaver to the wrist. Finally, the 16-year-old is seen lying on his back on a metal gurney as a cleric tends to his wounds.
The horrific images were shared via Twitter by Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently, an activist group working undercover against ISIS. The four high quality photos carry ISIS’s distinctive yellow branding, which means they are probably part of an unreleased propaganda video.
The newly released photos follow gruesome footage of a man murdered by the terror group. The man, who is reported to be Ahmed Muhammad, was accused of working as a spy. He was led out to a forecourt by masked executioners and shot multiple times in the head. The video was filmed with HD cameras and Hollywood-style sounds, which are trademarks of ISIS films.
