Shocking pictures of two young men dancing with a dead dolphin at a student apartment complex in Cork, Ireland, have caused an animal rights activist to launch a hunt for the partygoers.
The pictures of the young men dancing with the carcass originally appeared on Snapchat before spreading to other social media sites, reports the Irish Examiner.
While the pictures were taken at a student complex, Parchment Square, it's not known whether the men in the picture are actually students. It is believed they brought the dead mammal from west Cork.
The dolphin's carcass was reportedly thrown out of a window and was later found by a complex employee; the complex's staff disposed of the dolphin.

A Cork Institute of Technology spokesperson said Parchment Square is operated by an independent company, not by a college in the area.
According to Independent.ie, there is a video of the dolphin being tossed out of the apartment during the party, which is believed to have occurred on May 24.
The Parchment Square Student Accommodation refused to comment to Independent.ie, but a spokesperson for the Cork Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals called the young men "idiots," adding: "The mind boggles with people's stupidity. Anybody with any level of cop-on would know it's not right. They'll think twice before they do something like this again."
Paul Franklin Watson, an environmental activist who founded the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, took to Facebook to post a reward for the two partygoers on May 28, which he updated on May 29:

Reward of $4469 for the arrest and conviction of Harbor Porpoise Snatchers. Yesterday I offered a reward of $2234 for information identifying the two men who danced with a dead dolphin and threw the body out of the window of a dormitory.
I said I was looking for information on where in Ireland the dolphin was taken and when? Plus I needed information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two men responsible.
I did receive quite a few responses but none of them can be found credible because dozens of different names were turned in and no information of where the dolphin was taken and when. The reward is now $4469. Another person came forward to offer an addition $2234.
This reward will be given for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible. Apparently there are photos and videos available and this is the kind of evidence that can be of considerable value. Please provide this evidence to the National Park and Wildlife Service. I have advised the NPWS to inform me if they have received evidence leading to an arrest of the individuals involved.
