A man in Kazakhstan was hit with a fine after getting caught posing as his girlfriend so that he could take her final exam for her.
Ayan Zhademov, 20, stepped in to help his 17-year-old girlfriend after she became too nervous to take her final exam at school, Metro reports. The test that the young woman was worried about was her Unified National Testing, which all students are required to do in Kazakhstan in order to be accepted to university.
After failing to calm his girlfriend down, Zhademov disguised himself in a black wig, white blouse, gray skirt and makeup, and attempted to sneak into the exam room at her school in the town of Zhetisai, the Daily Mail reports.
Despite his commendable efforts, school officials quickly noticed that Zhademov was a man and busted him.
“He tried speaking in a high voice but it was obvious that he was a male,” an exam board spokesman said, according to the Dail Mail.
Zhademov was booted from the school and subsequently fined $2,171 for the stunt.
“It was stupid but very romantic,” fellow student Dariga Nesterova said. “Sometimes love leads us to do silly things, I wish my boyfriend was this romantic.”
A local businessman reportedly paid half of the boy's fine after the story broke.
