Ben Ross, a former rugby player, suffered a broken arm during a live TV broadcast on June 10 of "The Footy Show" in Australia.

Ross was arm wrestling Wendell Sailor, another former rugby player, noted Nine News whose Nine Network broadcast the incident (video below).

The men were in the second round of the Iron Arm Challenge, a competition for charity, when there was cracking noise and Ross yelled out.

The host of the TV show, Paul "Fatty" Vautin, told the stunned studio audience they were going to a commercial and called for an ambulance.

According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Ross was taken to a local hospital and had an X-ray which showed a break in the humerus of his right arm.

Sailor later tweeted, "Just like to send some love/well wishes out to @benross23 & his family after the accident on the @NRLFootyShow — sorry Big Ben feel so bad."
