A bridge in Scotland is causing many to question whether or not it’s haunted following the mysterious deaths of hundreds of dogs that jumped from the top of it.
According to reports, at least 50 of the 600 dogs that jumped from the bridge fell to their deaths, leaving animal psychologists confused as to what prompted the dogs to jump.
People who live near the bridge at Overtoun House in West Dunbartonshire have begun to speculate whether it is haunted. Many have even claimed that the ghost could be the spirit of the White Lady of Overtoun, who died in 1931.
“I was standing there two years ago when I felt a firm, hard prod that felt like a finger,” religion and philosophy instructor Paul Owens said. “Something or someone was trying to push me over the bridge too, just like the dogs."

Owens added: “It's a very strange place. One of the things peculiar to the location is that it can seem very peaceful and tranquil, but it can turn at a moment's notice.”
Donna Cooper, the owner of a collie named Ben, told the Mirror her dog initially survived his fall but ultimately had to be put down.
“His paw was broken, his jaw was broken and his back was broken and badly twisted. The vet decided it wasn't worth putting him through the pain, so we had to let him go,” she said.
Despite many believing the dogs were prompted to commit suicide by the spirit of the White Lady of Overtoun, experts said the theory just isn’t possible.

“A dog doesn't have suicidal thoughts,” dog behavior consultant John McGuigan said, reports AOL.
“It would have to know and understand that by jumping from that bridge, the consequence will be that it will end the suffering it is feeling, which is highly unlikely. It's far more likely they're smelling something they like or are overwhelmed by the sensory stimulation, for example the rushing of the water."
The bridge now has a warning sign, letting dog owners know they should keep their dog on a leash.
