Surveillance footage shows a 24-year-old video game addict’s last moments of life as he suddenly deteriorated in an Internet café following a 19-hour-long “World of Warcraft” binge.

According to reports, 24-year-old Wu Tai sat in a Shanghai, China Internet café for 19 hours and played the popular video game “World of Warcraft.” Suddenly, the man turns to his left and starts to cough uncontrollably before sliding down in his chair.

“I suddenly heard him groan and when I turned to see what had happened he was very pale and looked uncomfortable,” 20-year-old Hsin Lo, a witness, said. “He was dabbing his mouth with a hankie which had blood on it. I asked him if he was OK and he said he’d felt better, but that he would be OK. I called for an ambulance while my friend went to get some help from staff. But while we waited he just died in front of us, and there was nothing the staff could do.”

By the time first responders arrived at the scene, Wu was already dead.

“An autopsy will determine the cause of death,” a police spokesperson said, “but there seems little doubt his playing on the computer for 19 hours instead of resting contributed to his death.”
